Who? Me? Excited??

That is cool.

Will you be able to go outside and watch them?

The weather is supposed to be nice(ish) tomorrow, so I think visibility would be good. Our office is lousy with Sopranos fans, so I have a feeling it’s going to be a big draw. Also, it’s going to murder the commute - Routes 10 & 202 in NNJ are big traffic arteries. I’m leaving early

So far - a whole lotta hurry up and wait (typical). I did see David Chase. Right now they’re unloading equipment.

A crew guy wouldn’t tell us who was going to be there today, but said “it would definitely be worth walking over again later”. Whee!

Bolding mine…

Of course it will be murder, it’s the Sopranos!

Bada-Bing! (because it’s the Sopranos!)

Sorry – it should be *“The Sopranos” is filming * (name of show, takes singular verb) – since they’re fictional characters, you can’t do The Sopranos are filming (group of people, takes plural verb).

twicks, who ordinarily stays out of the business of correcting the grammar in thread titles, but is so bothered by this for some reason

Uh - thanks for sharing my enthusiasm.

I knew it was obnoxious – thus the (insufficiently) self-deprecating sig … sorry …

They filmed part of The Wire right near my house last year.

I know what you’re thinking: “MOVE!”.

I didn’t get to go see it, though. It was during work hours.

I just read a news article yesterday that said that apparently the Sopranos wanted to film the final scene of the series at the ice cream shop of my childhood in Bloomfield, NJ. The town decided to deny the filming permit however, based on the show’s negative portrayal of Italian-Americans, of which there are obviously many in that area.

I believe Bloomfield recanted (actually, the township attorney apparently said there was no legal basis for them to reject the permit that had already been issued.

Phil Leotardo (Frank Vincent) has been sighted today - more later
