Irk is particularly irksome today as there is a problem with the phone system. I thought it was my phone because of all the rain, but it is on the company end.
It’s been a dark and gloomy day, but it is cooler.
My son got all the rock put down, except I bought too much and he didn’t know where to put the extra.
The side of the house is done except for under where the recycle bin lives.
I wonder if he can learn how to pour concrete?
I’m glad your daughter is home from the hospital Sunny, I’m sure all y’all are too.
Hope your mom feels better soon BooFae
I still need to order groceries for tomorrow.
My son will be having tacos (what else) for dinner. I have some leftover giant meatballs, which are not all that good, that I can eat for dinner.
Home. We had off and on rain today and now a tropical depression has formed to out southeast. The WPTB say it shall stay east of us but I expect we will get more rain. Today was a very long and boring day. I made it until a little after 4 and said see ya and here I am. Buddy got more toys in the mail today. He does love toys.
Supper shall be something with hamburger and whatever it will be hubby will have to cook as I ain’t feeling it. I feel like I could go to bed right now. Can’t get enough sleep these days.
Sunny you must be excited about the new house. Mooom here’s hoping your back is OK. My former boss awoke one morning and did a big stretch and had to have surgery on his neck. Sometimes just the smallest thing can do damage.
bumba, my car is keyless, so you have an option unavailable to me.
I’m going to have to make time to go to the computer shop this week. The hack i’ve been using to connect the monitor is no longer working. I have a fancy schmancy graphics card with a special connection and the screws are shot. I’mthinking of just replacing the whole damn kit and caboodle. Meanwhile, I need to set up the @$!#in fancy printer so I can finish a paying project on the tablet. Oy!
Bumba, like Red my car is keyless, I just have the fob in my pocket and push the button. Don’t even understand why there is a key in there anyway…
As for heat, I lived in the Middle East (Abu Dhabi) for 4 years. Took a look at weather underground, it’s 92F there…at 4am in the morning. It’ll be over 100F for the next three months. In other words, hold my beer…
No rain yet but looking at the NWS radar, I think that may change shortly…
Sunny, happy for you and your little ray of sunshine, hope house and daughter both progress well.
Worked, came home. Made the mistake of sitting on the couch, and Alex Catt purred me asleep. Now dinner is going to be delayed.
Glad Beamette is home from the hoispital, Sunny.
Feel better soon, Boomom. {{{{Boofae}}}}
If you don’t mind assembling your own, give Home Reserve a look. I’m sitting on one of their sectionals right now, and it’s doing great after 7 years of service. I found assembly quite easy, you have amazing versatility, and it even has storage compartments under the seats! (ObDisclaimer: my sole affiliation with this company is as a happy customer.)
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 90 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon and evenin’. Since I have no need of leavin’ da cave today I say let it storm! The big items on today’s agenda are to finish cave spiffin’ and do laundry. Rah. Sup shall be roast beast, squishes, green beans, and N.O.T. 'n carrots. In the mood for some real food so I’m sure 'twill be nummy.
Sunny glad Beamette is home from the horsepistol and doin’ better. Hope the move to the new digs goes well for y’all.
Ruble I’ve seen worse IT folks.
Metal Mouse I here ya! Furniture is made to be used not admired from afar. If a sofa is not suitable for nappage, then what good is it at all.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day!
After all the t-storm warnings on the TV last night, our area got nuttin’!!! It did sprinkle a bit on my way to work, and we’re theoretically going to get rain today. We shall see.
My back is still killing me. Once I get up and moving, I’m OK, but that transition from sitting to standing is rough. Getting out of the car was a challenge.
Much crap on my desk - hi-ho, hi-ho and all that rot. Happy Tuesday!
Decisions, decisions… I’m not sure what to do with the day today. It’s supposed to be the hottest day of the week, which puts me off going and playing with the bees (those suits are roasting). Thursday looks to be cooler and cloudier, so I could put it off til then.
I do need to go to the allotment, and that now needs to be early in the day 'cos the site had Drama yesterday- a group of travellers attempted to move into the car park. Aside from the little allotment corner, the rest of the site is a tourist attraction, and this is the height of the season. It was unsurprisingly rapidly decided by the site owners that travellers moving in and taking up/trashing half the coach parking was not a thing that was going to happen. Police were called, they were rapidly booted off, and now the big gates (which are usually left open so we can get access any time) are going to be locked at 6pm, when the attraction closes, for at least the rest of the week or until they’ve left the area.
This is the same traveller group that got the local hospital’s annual fundraiser cancelled by setting up on their site a few weeks back. They’re not doing well at winning friends round here…
I should also go to the liberry and print out the contract for the new job, which needs signing and returning, seeing as I don’t own a printer. I should probably do that first, before I forget.
Blurfage I had a rough night with that stoopid twilight sleep that is not really sleep at all. Tonight I shall sleep with a double dose of Ben. Tis going to be a long day.
We had a big thunderboomer last night and the power flickered for a moment. Hubby got off lucky cause he would have been cranking up the gennie had the power gone off for any length of time.
It’s a bit rainy this morning, and pretty cool.
We just got back from the dog park and I’m waiting for my son to get ready so we can go pick up groceries.
Thanks for that link Nettie, I already found what I want.
Morning all. Rain seems to have left the area for a time and high’s for the next couple of days will be about 83F, so maybe I’ll even spend some time outdoors…or not.
Nettie, I’m 6-7 months away from doing it, but that looks interesting; I’ll keep the site in mind.
Nut, are travellers still a thing there in Britain? I would think by now they would have alienated every single part of the Island and been (forced?) to settle in one place.
Need to forage for sustenance in a little bit. All y’all take care.
