The Start of The MMP

Home from the house warming. Holy crap, did he buy a BIG ASS house!! And it’s hidden away in the woods - we missed one of the turns on the way home, but I knew by the sun that we were headed in the right direction, and we eventually hit a road I knew, so no biggie. Glad to be home.

Glad you had a good celebration day Swampy

New neighbors are moving into the downstairs apartment next door.
I hope they are not partiers. I’m not sure who all is moving in and who is there to help.
They have a dog, and I know that landlord over there doesn’t allow dogs, but who knows. They said they were moving in for only a few months.
The upstairs people aren’t home so I wonder if they know or if it is a surprise to them.

At first I thought it might be the upstairs people moving out. I think they may be fighting again because I heard him tell somebody that he had to find a new woman because the old one was … something or another. I wonder if she knows, being that she has been spending all of her time in Baltimore as her father is in the hospital down there. From the sound of it he is probably going to die soon.

Skipped the booksale and did productive adult things; what was I thinking?

Wow butters, Buddy is a big little boy.! Your new vet has very good prices. I paid $200 for Nelson 's annual checkup, including blood work and a year of heartworm treats.

I’m glad you had a good party **swampy **.

The oil is changed, groceries bought, prescriptions picked up, bed made, clothes in the wash and going through the studio to set it up differently. Once kp is done, it will be back to the grind.

I broke off the mouldy end, and ate the rest.

I spent about three hours today cutting brush and raking it into a pile. I did the same for at least two hours yesterday. And there is still more to do…

The burn ban is on, so we may have the brush pile until September.

Worked, came home, napped.
Today is Bagpipe Appreciation Day. I played underwater bagpipes one.*

*Turns out I was drunk, and fighting an octopus at the Edinburgh Zoo.

And if you are in a more punk mood

And just for my godson/nephew Mr Cello

And something a little less traditional:

twent to target via uber for an emergency run amd i swear my aunts gonna cause a fight one day …

Ok apparently 3 loud drunk and obnoxious African American women came out of Applebee’s which is in a shopping center and got the sheriffs called on them and being loud and obnoxious ignored the car that pulled up at first and then started the usual obnoxious arguments …about “they didnt have to do anything he said " they knew their rights” ect

well he had to call for back up they came ect and she was saying to people who asked what’s going on going in and out of target " they deserved being put in a car and they werent being mistreated and just a whole bunch ranty type of things that could be taken the wrong way racially since the people we were talking to were black themselves … luckily the uber came and we left …

Your story sounds as if you may have been imbibing yourself, as the test is hard to follow. But I do have a question. Why do you use “African-American” for the women, and “Black” for what seems to be black people in general?

Haven’t read, but up & heading to the airport even though it looks a bit windy. Did notice its new page time!

Awake and abed. Apart from going out for breakfast, we have no plans today. We shall see how much adulting occurs.

Happy Sunday!!
PS - autocorrect sucketh!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. ‘Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 92 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The big plan of the day is deheathenization followed by N.O.L. somewhere. I’d just as soon come back to da cave and zap leftover burgers from yestiddy, but we shall see. I am doin’ ush duty this mornin’. I was not scheduled but agreed to take over from the person who was scheduled as he and his wife needed to go to Tampa to check on her sick mother. I’m all nice like that.

Ruble and doggio how is it that you two seem to know where to find bagpipe videos?

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I got up, and started getting ready for work ,then the alarm went off. I was dreaming I was getting ready for work.:dubious:
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work for real, maybe.

swampy, it’s a gift.

I’ll be going to church twice today. Once at my own church, then I’ll take my mother to her service. She can’t drive anymore, so me and my sisters take her where she needs to go.

Then I’ll do a little housework, and basically enjoy myself.

Afternoon all! Tis a day off today, with accompanying laziness. It’s been warm and muggy all week, so I’ve not been sleeping much and decided a Sunday lie-in was acceptable.

I’m in that stage before a trip where I’m trying to work out sensible meals that will use up everything that won’t last from the fridge, without shopping for more stuff. I’ll be away 2 weeks- the longest I’ve been away since living by myself, so I’ve been trying to organise things like getting the axolotls fed and the plants watered, and I’m realising I really don’t know many people round here. Someone from irk is 'sposed to be feeding the weird newt things, as they only need a bit of food tipping in every 3-5 days, I’m hoping the plants will be OK, as the weather’s due to cool down a bit. It doesn’t look too bad for the actual event- I’m gonna be in Dad’s van, but most people will be in tents, so if it’s really bad, that would suck somewhat, but who knows, the weather’s being pretty unpredictable.

Morning all. Up at 6am, too early to mow the lawn (I’ll wait until a more civilized hour, like 9:30am), so browsing around the internet I saw that The Chieftains, the premier Irish band of the last 50 years, will be making a final US Tour next year…so I bought a ticket for Nashville in February 2019. Because one must do impulsive things now and then or what’s living for?

Baker, shady is always an adventure to (try to) read, it’s part of his charm as a Mumper.

Nut, been there pre-vacation, trying to get the refrigerator empty of perishables–makes for some interesting meals…and things will owrk out, just enjoy the trip.

Sari, best wishes for the new neighbors being…neighborly.

FCM, I never understood buying way more house than you require; heck, I have trouble enough maintaining mine and it’s not all that big.

OK, all y’all have a good Sunday.

Getting ready to stack the boxes. There are times when I love my job and today could be one of those; sort of like being paid to play Tetras.

Happy Sunday!

Another pretty morning, but I it’s already getting hot.
Supposed to get up to 91.

Home from the dog park, Ripple is tired.
I met one of the new neighbors, he seems nice. I thought he might be related to the landlord and he is. He has MS and the dog is a service dog.
I think he and his friend will be nice, quiet neighbors.
He even apologized for parking the u-haul out back, which while it is quite a bit onto my side of the parking pad, it is not in the way.
They like dogs, and cats, so that is good. I always worry about Adam because he does make his way around the neighborhood. Fortunately, all the neighbors, so far, like him.

Nothing but irk on the agenda for today.
Irk, irk, and more irk.
After the the busy time is over I am going to slow down a bit.
I irked almost 80 hours last week and it will be 80+ this week.

My house is more house than I need, or want, but I had two options in my price range. Two bedroom ranchers with no basement or attic, about 900 sq feet, or three bedroom two story houses with basements and attics.

When I was pet sitting though, I knew single people who lived in 3-4000 sq foot homes, and couples who lived in 7,500-10,000 sq foot homes. That is a lot of house for a few people. They had money though, and could pay other people to maintain and clean them.

Already 70F (21C) before 7am, projected high 104F (40C). Ick.
