The Start of The MMP

The roof we have up there now we had put on when we bought the house 30 years ago.
It needs a lot of repairs and I’m afraid the non-repaired parts won’t last too long. It’s time.

There used to be one that was lime jello with little tiny shrimpies and peas and celery and sumthin else in it. Maybe cottage cheese? I made it once by request. It wasn’t half bad. (more like three quarters.)

Second the negative review for KeyME. It said it didn’t have the right blank for the mailbox key (OK, it’s a bit smaller than a house key, but is flat, etc.) and wanted to ship us the key. For $9.49 EACH. And the image on the screen did NOT match the key inserted in the machine (it lacked a notch on the mostly flat side). I could get that key at any hardware store, let alone locksmith, for maybe $2 each at most.

Currently researching replacement car keys. FYI if anyone cares: 2016 Dodge Dart, existing key in DH’s possession has 4 buttons: Panic, Lock, Unlock, Trunk. Yes, we know we’ll then have to pay someone to program it. The dealership would want $70, as we know from experience, but with a cheap enough key to take to them, we’ll still do better than the $180 I was quoted by a locksmith for key+programming.

Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off to work.

WetOne, that sucks on the infection. And the Prednisone side effects.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 92 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The big item on the agenda is the soiree out at the cee-mint pond. Not as hawt as usual for this time of year, so should be nice out there. I’m told there will be munchies and we shall have a late N.O.L./early sup of burgers and such. A cheesecake got made last night. YUM! I feel like I should ride over to the church house and check on the fire alarm thingy to see if it’s actin’ right today. I know I shall hear about it if’n it is actin’ up but maybe should check anyways.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, well, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

The big day is almost here! I will be putting the finishing touches on the cake tomorrow evening, before I sneak it over to the house with the cee-mint pond!

We’re going to a party this afternoon - a housewarming, actually. Josh bought a place on 15 acres near here and he’s showing it off today. I saw pics of it on line - holy crap on a cracker!!! I’m guessing he makes good money, based on the selling price and the looks of the place. Anyway, that’s later. Not sure what this morning holds. We shall see.

Happy Saturday!

Morning all. Up earlier as I was hearing noises outside that sounded like a dripping drain (we haven’t had rain in 4 days). Turns out the neighbor behind me is having his roof done and the sound was the crew removing the old roof…at 6:30am. Ah wel, given it’s suppossed to get to 89F today, guess I can’t blame them.

Accomplished pretty much nothing yesterday except filing for the $125 from Experian as part of a lawsuit settlement; hey, not much but if somebody wants to give me free money. Probably go to Dick’s Sporting Goods today for AYSO day and pick up some stuff (20% off).

wetone, hope you’re feeling a bit better today.

**FCM **, enjoy the house tour.

Swampy, you can’t do everything at the Church; relax and enjoy the day.

Nettie, no idea on the keys, but not a bad suggestion to hold the originals back.

Butters, hope Husband-unit checkup goes OK.

All y’all have a good Sattiday.

First load of laundry on the lines, second in the washer. Once it’s done, I need to run to the credit union and Food Lion. So I’m doing something this morning.

Happy Saturday!

Pretty day again today.

Home from the park, Sah-son is heating up breakfast for us.
Then it’s time to go to irk.

06:27, and I’ve been up for half an hour. I’ve only had one cuppa joe. Why do I always wake up before six on Saturday mornings? It would be very nice to sleep until seven.

Up and considering what to do. There is a Half-Price Books warehouse sale today but its in a tough location from our house. Will ponder.

The cards, decorations and gift bags are done.

Feel better soon wet one!

I hope everything goes well at the heart doctor, butters.

Apparently, the hamsters ate yesterday’s post. Up, caffeinating, towels and sheets in the wash and the puppy crate cleaned. In a few, I will purtify to get the oil changed and groceries bought. After that, it’s getting started rearranging the studio. Envy me.

Yesterday, the man next door to me added a couple of stone kitties as yard ornaments. I walk Nelson that direction only at night, so I didn’t notice it at first, but last night, he sure did. He stood there growling at them while I laughed. :stuck_out_tongue:

It is my habit to cut sticks of cheddar cheese, and put them in a zip-top bag in the fridge so that I can snack on them. Mrs. L.A. is still asleep, and I wanted a nosh. I got some cheese and took a bit. It tasted fine. When I went to take a second bite, I noticed that the end I’d eaten was mouldy. :smack:

What’s the joke? “What’s worse than finding a worm in your apple” “Finding half a worm.” What did youy do Johnny?

**flyboy **- similar issue here, tho I caught it in time. I was going to make a piece of toast… till I saw the bread was green and furry. Dammit!

Back from Food Lion and the Amish market. I forgot the popsicles, but I got the other stuff I wanted, including bread, so I’m good. Daughter and family are headed to Richmond to the children’s museum. **FCD **and I will be leaving in 3 anna half hours or so. Meanwhile, I think I may knit. Laundry is done, dishes are done, groceries are stowed, and critters have been tended to, so I get to chill.

And if you’re wondering, my back is almost back to normal. Once the pain is all gone, I’m going to try some gentle stretches to keep it from happening again. I’ll be seeing my doc on Aug 5 and I’ll talk to her about it then.

Howdy. Back from **Buddy’s ** first Vet appt where he was pronounced perfect. He has zero health concerns. The Vet did say he is an alpha and we should try to let him know we are the bosses. Good luck with that. He got an exam, toe nail trim, rabies shot and six months of heartworm pills and the bill was only $62. Was shocked. Apparently he didn’t charge me for the first visit or nail trim which was nice. This is a new Vet not that the old one was bad but the old one is definitely more expensive. He also said he would rather I didn’t give him any more chemicals for fleas unless I see any. Old vet would have sold me flea medicine. **Buddy ** weighs 7.6 lbs. He is going to get neutered in about six weeks.

I need to make a run to the grocery store as I have a hankering for veggies. I think it will be cubed steak with onion gravy, mashed taters and peas and okra and maybe some squash.

Today it is very hot. I am continually grateful for air conditioning. The dogs are all sprawled out on the tile like furry puddles.

I think today we will be watching more Bosch, and that’s about it.

Already 90F (32C) at noon. Projected high 105F (41C). Tomorrow will be worse. Ick. (Would also make it easier to Google temperature conversions if I could remember how to spell “fahrenheit” ).

Took care of a necessary errand. More supplies will be needed (and I can’t justify WalMart’s delivery cost to myself with money being a bit tight right now), so there is probably a late-evening run in store, once temperatures drop a bit. Mostly a day of sloth today, I think.

well not much goin on here except its hotter inside than out the cooler was fixed but the weather doesn’t bother the aunt much and unless one of the chosen ones (who aren’t here this weekend) say it’s hot .well…
it did rain here Wednesday but all that did was make it humid…workin on a gofundme thing that might or might not happen other than trying to avoid a bunch of yardwork thatas gonna be a waste of time and money not much goin on

Howdy Y’all! Spent a very nice late mornin’ through mid afternoonish at the cee-mint pond. Burgers were grilled and et. Cheesecake was consumed. Now everyone is gone and chillage ensues. ‘Twas a nice day. As I always say, I do love company, both comin’ and goin’.
