The Steelers march to the Superbowl--stops here!

Here as in Denver, CO. The Mile High city. Nice run guys, but there’s simply no way the Broncos lose this one at home. Can’t happen. Place yur bets and take yur chances.

Of course it’s possible that I’ll be posting Sunday evening to say I was wrong. But I don’t think so!

I’m sure if Denver puts the right people on the field, they’ll beat the Steelers.
The right officials, I mean.

Without Foster, they are going as far as Nick Goings can keep the defenses honest.

If he can do anything, that superman who lines up outside will get Carolina into the end zone.

I think at this point, I am rooting for the AFC winner.

I’d like to see Bettis get a ring, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Plummer shake off some of the criticism.

Slight hijack, but why is it there are so many Steelers fans not in Pittsburgh? Is it because they’re part of the Rust Belt diaspora? I can’t find a compelling reason otherwise.

…and don’t get me started on all those non-Texas Cowboys fans!

It’s a combination of the four Superbowls and the economic distress of the Pittsburgh region.

Everyone’s a Steeler fan, but many can’t find jobs here- it’s been that way for many years- and they move to find better employment, but they keep their Steeler fandom.

And, as a reply to the OP- theis old Steelerphan says “No way.”

Meet you back here Sunday evening.

[Sigh] Well, THAT was disappointing. Your Steelers played a GREAT game and the Broncos played like they had their thumbs stuck and couldn’t pull them out. I wouldn’t have minded so much if they had lost by 3 in OT, but to stumble into the fog was…sad.

My very best to the Steelers and especially The Bus who, it looks like, will finally get the ring he so richly deserves.

Nice to see ya.

It pains me to do it, since I’m a huge Colts fan, but I have to root for the Steelers, too.

I was engaged to a Seattle-born-and-raised Seahawks fan who now owns season tickets.

I have to pick the Steelers.

I lived in Seattle for 25 years, two of my kids were born there, and three of them still live there. My first husband helped build the Kingdome and my late brother had season tickets from the first season. I was at the game where Steve Largent broke a receiving record and was hoarse for days after one of the rare times we beat Denver. (Or maybe it was Kansas City.)

I’m tickled pink for Seahawks fans, but I’ve always had a soft spot for the Steelers. Whoever wins the big one, I’ll be happy.

I’m rooting for the team that begins with an “S.”

I’d like the Seahawks to win it, but I think it will be the Steelers by 12.

Right, that’s two orders of fried crow. Who wanted the cole slaw? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, shite, kids, I could have told you the Seahawks were going to win it all, right from the very beginning! Had I been consulted, you may have been unhappy, but you’d have been rich and unhappy. Which is a little nicer.

And if the Seahawks don’t win the the Superbowl, I’m going to have to eat… hawk.

But that’s just silly talk. They’ll win, for certain. I see all.

You see, this is the first year I’ve ever been a fan of American football. Seahawks are my hometeam. Every time I become a fan of something for the first time, that year, they win. Baseball: Remember the Blue Jays, back in '93? Yeah, that was me. Football: I was pissed off at Chelsea for a while, but last year, I started cheering them on again. See what happened there? Hockey: Remember the year Calgary took home the Stanley Cup, sometime back in the late 80s? Me, again.

Trust me on this one.

When your team gets stompted in the playoffs as my Colts were, it’s nice to see that the same team stomps their next opponent. It’s not that the Colts were so bad, but that the Steelers are so tsunamic. I take my hat off to the Black and Gold.

I’ll still wear my Colts gear. They had a great season until the met the Steelers in the playoffs.

How much will you charge to bring your magic powers to Cleveland?

Despite being the only person in Cincinnati that feels this way, I hope the Steelers win it all.
