I just heard the rumblings of thunder over Lake Michigan a few seconds ago(I live in MI.) My sister in Chicago said they had storms there earlier so I guess its headed this way now.

I love this time when you can hear it coming. There goes another one. These are the nice low and long rumbles that in a few seconds will probably be rattling my windows. I love it. It’s really nice outside right now although overcast.(it was raining earlier).

I hope we get one of those Fireworks and Explosions storms that look like something out of War of the Worlds.

Oh yeah and its really quiet outside too. Not even any cars going by. There really is a silence before the storm.
Does anyone else dig these opening minutes of thunderstorms?

The rain has just started a slow but steady pace and the thunder rumbles are coming more quickly now. No lightning yet but I’m about to go outside and check out the situation.

I’m in west central Indiana and we’re in-between storms at the moment. Yeah, I LOVE storms, the quiet before and the intensity of a really good storm is nice, too. We had a real good one this morning, and hopefully, we’ll have another good one tonight! I think they’re very relaxing.

Al’s storm missed me by a few miles. I’m kinda disappointed. Saw the lightning and thunder, though as it rolled by. Nifty.

That storm was the biggest let-down. We had a good light and sound show for about 15 minutes then it was over. Not even any rain afterwards.(we need badly). Hopefully the next one is better.
