The Story Time MMP

Also known as “water bears”, these viscous, rude, impolite, not funny and unable to set table animals have finally been photographed.

Please be certain no children are viewing the computer screen before you click on the link.

Did my lurid exposure of swamp bears kill the MMP?

Boo. Hiss. Weak reply.
A much better reply would be, "I’ll happily post my bikini pix after we see pix of you in a bikini, doggi!

Gotta go run & hide now

{{{Taters}}}

I’ve been working on forks all day long (after getting home from the Y). Somewhere in there I was going to take a nap, but it never happened. Now I’m waiting up for about another hour while the tumbler is running.

Tomorrow I’ll go to the other Y for their water aerobics classes, which are far superior. Looking forward to that. Then in the afternoon I’m taking my mother to a show put on by the local lapidary club. I hope they have some cool stuff. But not too cool so that I run out of money.

{{{{Taters}}}} That has got to be heartbreaking to see your parent like that. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers (if you are ok with that)

awwwwwwwww :stuck_out_tongue: They are so cute!

I did wear a bra once, on a dare. :stuck_out_tongue:

Irked, came home. Looks like date night is postponed. Hockey Lady:) had to run out of town to bail out a friend in Pa.

{{{{Taters}}}}}

Thanks everyone for the hugs, prayers and good thoughts.

Dad slept off and on all afternoon and seems calmer. He ate too. Hopefully, this round of meds will be the right mix.

I didn’t find any “oooh shinies” that appealed to me at Costco. I did buy a couple of sweaters just because most of my sweaters are old and I needed some. Other than the the sweaters and a pair of lounge pants for my husband, the rest of my large Costco bill was food. My son, husband and I are set for a good while and my son will have plenty to eat while he’s home this week. As a special treat, I bought a prime rib roast from Costco. It’s pre-seasoned and everything. We’ll see if it beats the one I buy at the butcher shop for Christmas Day every year. However, I want a really nice meal with just me, my husband, son, daughter and daughter’s fiance. A sense of normalcy would be nice for a change.

I also bought a steam mop at Best Buy. I think I’m going to regret this purchase. Luckily, it has a detachable chamber and other attachments, so it may be really great in my shower stall and on the glass doors.

To be fair, my floors are a sad mess right now thanks to wet weather, big dogs, and muddy paws. I think I’m going to have to wash my floors the old fashioned way right now and then use the steam mop. Also, except for my entry way and the carpeted areas, my floors are no wax vinyl and I can’t say it left any shine on the floor in my bathroom. I figure it’s going to be a case of me steaming and then throwing on a coat of wax once in awhile. I should have opted to spend just a little more and get one of the floor steamers that I can use solutions in and has scrubby brushes. Oh well, lesson learned.

I was trying an experiment. Something called “sleep”.

Unfortunately for me, my lab assistant (four paws, tail, very piercing meows) decided this experiment was apparently unsafe and kept interrupting it by walking on me.

I did grocery shopping for Turkey Day, and boy am I glad that is over with! I also ordered some country ham from Virginia, and it’s on the way to ABQ even now. I foresee some ham biscuits next week with the turkey.

We’ve been doing the grocery shopping at Walmart and it is indeed less expensive, BUT there are some things that they don’t carry, so we end up going to the regular chain grocery store. On the good side, it’s only a few things. I should have gone to Smiths (Kroger elsewhere) for their turkey deal, though, I think. Hens up to 12 lbs. are only $9 and Toms up to 20 lbs. are $13, if you can believe that. I think those are the prices, that is. Boy, if you’re going to get a frozen turkey, you’d better get it in the next day or so. It’s going to take several days to thaw; mine is in the bottom of the fridge and it’s still hard as a rock.

{{{{{{{{{{{Taters}}}}}}}}}}}}}}- - keeping you and your family in my prayers.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Aaaw, my wifi has killed my last two attempts at posting. While it’s working I’ll get to the most important part. Hogs and good thoughts for you and yours Taters.

Ermmm… that would be hugs:rolleyes:

The question isn’t why am awake at 6 in the AM on Saturday, the question is: Why have I been awake since about 3:45 in the AM. The answer is small, black, with a curly tail and a piercing howl. Stoopit dog. **FCD **got up and took her out, but I was awake and couldn’t fall back to sleep. So I watched That Thing You Do on TV and now I’m on line. It’s gonna be a long day. Stoopit dog.

**tarra **- I picked up a turkey for cheap at Food Lion this week. It’s in the freezer for a future feast. I got one that’s small enough to fit in the rotisserie - those are tough to find around here. Most birds are huge!!

It’s still dark out. I could go back to bed. I dunno… Stoopit dog.

Happy Saturday anyway!

Sounds like a hog would go down pretty well too- so long as it’s all prepped and ready for roasting

Hugs, Hogs and probably Higgs to Taters ‘n anyone else that is in need o’ one.

By the way, I hates people who bid on things on Ebay at the very last second, so’s you thinks you’ve been the only bidder then suddenly you’ve lost. Bad people.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis a chilly 39 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 65 and sunny. Also, not much planned for the day outside of some cave defilthyfication.

flytrap here’s a pic of OYKW and me at the beach just for you! :stuck_out_tongue:

A[sup]2[/sup] if taters likes bacon, sausage and ham she might appreciate the hogs.

Herbs I suggest sweet N.O.T. bizkits to go with that country ham. Trust me. So unbelievably gooooooooooooooood!!! I have a turkey thawin’ in the beerator as I post. I dug it out of the freezer and put it in there Thursday night and it’s still kinda frozen.

MOOOOOOM maybe you should name her Shriek.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk

Well that was exciting - Puglet decided she wanted to play with Ziva. Ziva doesn’t like dogs of any flavor. Much yelping ensued, then Ziva ran to hide under the bed. The hubbub spooked Taz so much, he knocked over a tray of change.

Calm has been restored. For now…

How sweet! The children at play!

I have dusted the livin’ room, guest room, study and cleaned the guest bathroom. Go Me!

I’m writing this down before I forget anymore, then I’ll go back and read.

I had a crazy dream and doggio was in it. We were working for a tv station (just like 2gig) and we were getting ready to interview people for the next project. It was two ladies of the night. Except right before we interviewed them they decided to kill some guy. Somehow then doggio and I took off on these things that were like bikes but the would sort of glide a little bit above the ground. On the bottom of one of our gliders, the dead guy was tied there. Next we went into a supermarket and ran into a guy that I used to work with years ago. And then another one after that and I was hitting on this one. After that we went to an air dock and doggio and I got to fly a blimp. Then, after that we got back on our gliders and took off again and noticed that the dead guy had fallen off. :D:p:dubious:

Ok, I have read. Sorry that your date with Hockey Lady has been postponed, doggio. I don’t think it had anything to do with blimp driving, did it? :stuck_out_tongue:

Meanwhile, I feel like I’ve been run over this morning. That’s probably what an entire day of working on forks will do to you. I am still going to go to water aerobics, but, ugh, I hope I get some more energy in the next hour!
