StickyBuns was doggio covered in glitter? Did he do a pole dance? BTW good job gettin’ rid of the dead guy. Can’t keep that evidence just hangin’ around now can we?
I think they’re a little on the creepy side
eta:
now, that is the definition of cute. And I oughtta know.
Home defilthifying must happen over here today, too, especially with dinner guests planned this evening (and just how many toys does that silly cat need to have scattered around the floor, anyway?).
Hopefully DH will get around to replacing those last two capacitors in his currently-kaput monitor early enough that we can get a replacement if need be (if those capacitors don’t solve its woes), because if not, it’s going to be at least a couple of weeks before it can happen, between his schedule and our mutual aversion to stores on Thanksgiving weekend.
Also gotta deal with that ant problem. In November? Really?
Currently 57 and cloudy, predicted high 60 and rainy.
Nettie would you rather have an ant problem or an aunt problem?
Dinin’ room, master bedroom and master bath are defilthyfied. Kitchen next then vacuum and mop which OYKW said he’d do. Not to worry though, I will show proper “appreciation.”
They would make good Dr. Who villains, wouldn’t they?
I know you’re all as sick of my bloody felting as I am, but I’ve finally got everything finished, photographed, boxed up… and missed the post office by 20 minutes. :smack:
Full set of terribly amazing pictures 'ere. And I ain’t starting any more today.
Happy sattiday!
I was up until 3:30 this morning and then out of bed at 6:00 this morning.
Am mainlining caffeine and have just a little bit of tidying to do. I don’t know when my son will be home today, but I hope he and his buddies get a fairly early start for their drive home.
We are supposed to go to a friend’s house tonight for a little party to say good-bye to another friend who is moving to Texas because her husband got a promotion and had to move there for the promotion. I am happy he got a promotion, but sad they have to move.
Those are cute little geckos, Filbert. I like the leopard one.
Halfway through the day. Then I have to go home and do laundry. Maybe if I say it like The Tick, it won’t seem like such a chore. “I’m doing LAUNDRY! :D:D:D:D”
Squirrel AGM and I are on a post-inspection stress comedown, so not much is getting done today. Hence why I’m surfing the Dope instead of updating (and finding) the fire drill instructions.
**(((Taters))))**mostly skimmed… Sorry the DOOOOOOOGGGGGG woke you, **MOOOOOOOOOOM… I have thought of another name though… How about Elvira? (Elvie for short?)
Welcome Back, JIM **& **2gig!**Time for deheathenization. I am bringing a dish I created to church for snacks. If it goes over well, I’ll give ya’ll the recipie!
for everyone, whether you need it or not

I want to go on record as saying that if I didn’t already love the game Apples to Apples[sup]®[/sup], the new TV commercials for it would make me stay far, far away.
Da cave is all defilthyfied. YAY!!! We had chili cheese dawgs for N.O.L. Nice to be able to pull homemade chili outta da freezer and nuke it. I also got out some already smoked poke chops to throw on the grill for dindin. I figure some kinda rice thing and steamed broccoli along with poke chops will be a quick, easy but nummy dindin.
I’s tahrd. OYKW is tahrd. I foresee nappage and ummm well…
ETA: First on Eight!
Pottery has been delivered. There were 5 pieces that they returned to me - guess they decided they wouldn’t sell. Oh well. Latest pieces are the first 14 pics here.
Puppeh has been named - she is Ninja!
That’s all I’ve got for now. I’s tahred…
Happy Saturday all
I am cleaning the palace, well atleast trying too. I am the second kitchen for T day and I have much to do as we are expecting 12 to 18 people. Most cooking and prep is at my house and finish is at the other. We are doing traditional plus this year, in addition to Turkey etc, we are adding Lamb, two types of Risotto, garlic and cheeze twice baked potatoes and a few other things TBA. We have lost our minds.
That is all for now, have a great day all
Jim
What an odd way to spell “Wednesday”.
Indeed, parents these days and their interesting spelling.
Sheesh
JIM
Moooom, that bead-bowl is wonderful. I’ve never seen a bead/ceramic combo like that - you should do more.
Just an opinion/suggestion, but have you considered using brighter blues and purples in your glazes?
Up, exercised, decaffeinated and off to irk. Things happened whilst I was away, but still we struggle on.
Now to wait for something to break…
Psst…
An excellent plan, oh Cute One, as it comes from Your Cuteness, but while I am possessed of a certain Low Animal Cunning, I fail to understand your methods. How will advising her about glazes cause the unfortunate canine to receive the proper name?
Thanks, **rosie **- I stole the bead-bowl idea from something I saw in Bermuda. I wish I’d made it bigger - next time I try that technique, I will.
As for the glazes, when I use underglazes, I get more intense colors - kinda hard to tell from the photos. I would like to find a cobalt blue - next time I buy glaze, that’ll be on my list. There are 4 new glazes among these pieces, and I don’t like them nearly as much as I thought I would - they looked better on the website than they do for real. Live and learn… Unfortunately, the two pottery supply places near me have limited selections, so I’m stuck buying on line, and sometimes you just can’t tell what you’re getting.
I’ve got a brisket slow-cooking in the oven with veggies. It’s smelling good. Supper in about 90 minutes.
<ignoring flytrap>
Oh noes! Why would they mess up Apples to Apples? It’s a most excellent game. Hmmm… maybe it’s a plot to keep out the riff raff. Course then, why for do I know about it?
FCM I like Ninja especially since she’s already dressed for it. Keep her away from throwing stars and such. Pugs are excitable and mayhem could break out.
Okay, I’ll send Taters a hog as soon as I round one up. There are plenty of ducks and chickens at the plant across town, but no swine.
It’s showering off and on, but not cold here. Still looking for comfy winter shoes and now heels for a funeral Mon. My friend’s grandmother passed away and I’m going with. Trouble is, all my shoes are in storage, in boxes that are labeled on the tops, not the sides where it would do any good.:smack:
Off to color my hair and pedicurize my feets.
