JIM

Moi?

Vous.

Whoever sent me the paypal money, I am so overwhelmed with gratitude. We were down to our last few dollars in the bank and a car payment went through bringing us down to 0. That money came at the right time. Thank you so much. I am beyond thankful.
I don’t want to reveal the MMpers name in case they want to remain just a username, but I just wanted to say thank you so much!!

P.S. I have something in my eye, those aren’t tears

I see, the Super Top-Secret Plan involves pretending to give me a hard time.

I’m in!

Just got a chance to weigh myself again for the first time in a while; apparently being broke all summer did wonders for my waistline. I haven’t weighed 155 since I was in college…

Howdy Y’all! This afternoon/evenin’ the followin’ has been accomplished:

Nappage
Preparation of Dindin
Eatin’ of said Dindin
Watchin’ Mama Mia

Fun times!

Hi guys.

It will be bedtime soon here. I’ve spent the evening making vases sort of like this, although mine have a fork as the base instead of a spoon. And I don’t charge nearly as much.

Tomorrow will be a walk through a nice park, if the weather is decent, and dinner with a friend. Oh, and making a cheesecake for my dad to take to work.

Cool.

Update on the ugh… In a 60-hour span, we drove 1700 miles and loaded a bunch of furniture out of a late relative’s house. My mother is doing OK and had nothing to do with this.

Why is Virginia so long? Why is Pennsylvania being rebuilt end to end in two-mile segments?

Drive through Tennessee sometime.

Evening! I have been a bad a Mumper…something about traveling for work and being expected to be productive etc.

I have read most of this week and {{taters family}}

I have finished my Christmas shopping as of about 3pm this afternoon. Rah! Go The ems :stuck_out_tongue: thanks to the power of the Internet and my awesome shopping skillz we are done. Now the wrapping must be done.

Supper was crab cakes and Cesar salad and it was delicious. Tomorrow I need to grocery shop as we nothing in and I need to shop for what I am taking to mr ems family for Thanksgiving. We are deep frying turkeys (I got the peanut oil already) his sister and dad are providing the actual turkeys and her kiddos are making dressing, gravy and pies of many flavours. I am making squash casserole, scalloped potatoes the secret mr ems family green beans and a chocolate bread pudding with a pecan streusel topping. All of which will be made tuesday night before we head down on Wednesday. Well apart from the green beans those get made the day of.

Now I am hungry again.

doggio, in case you are infatuated with HL & thus not able to think objectively:
Woman who will drop everything to help a friend in need = major plus points
Woman having friends who need bail money = no so many plus points :dubious:

Wrong, try again.
Ninjas are quiet & stealthy. Nameless is not; proof below.

Heard a metallic “sprong” early on bike ride today. Stopped to check it out but didn’t see anything so I assumed I rode over a loose piece of metal in the road so I continue riding, but after a while I’m really struggling to keep speed. That’s it; I quit, no more racing…ever. I’m retiring. 20 some more miles later, when I finish, I notice a broken spoke. Which causes the wheel to go out of true. Which causes it to rub against the brakes. Which causes friction. Which is why I was going so slow. :smack: Which is why I’ve decided to drink some pumpkin pie tonight. It’s nummy!

Stoopit hair color. It was supposed to turn out dark blonde not light brown. The pedicurization went well though. Rosy little piggies with cranberry colored nails to match my sweater.

Ninja pug is too a ninja. The noise is an ancient ninja mind trick us non-ninjas cannot fathom. Ninja ninja ninja. It’s fun to say.

Ninja

At least this is a nice break fro the usual “kill and/or skin me” dreams most women have about me.

Nah, she only fears spiders, not blimps.

[Gomez Addams]Tish! you spoke french![/Gomez Addams](as does Hockey Lady:))

No. she’s helping her friend. she might need bail money if she gets ahold of the friend’s (soon to be)ex-boyfriend.

Irked, watched minor league hockey, came home.

Almost done at irk, nothing broke today. Got to mark many emails as read. All is quiet. Too quiet…

Oh my gosh, the country ham arrived today! Now I want to have a ham biscuit!! I checked the Mumpers recipe page, and there is no recipe for sweet N.O.T. biscuits there, MrSwampy, so please, if you could, post a recipe for them?! I have already had a small taste of the ham and oh boy, was it good! LOL

I have to say that I’m thinking Ninja is a good name for the FCD doggy. Poor Ziva, though! I’m guessing that Taz is pretty good at taking care of himself in the face of Ninja.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and already caffienated. Brekkied too! 'Tis 45 Amurrkin out with a predicted high o 61. Another coolish day here in south Jawja.

gotti glad there was no problem with your mom. Long trips to load/unload furntiture are just no fun.

Ethi yay for yet another night of stuff not breakin’.

mmmmmms I’ve finished thinkin’ about Christmas shoppin’. So There!

Herbs ask and ye shall receive. This is really an easy peasy recipe.

Easy Sweet N.O.T. Biscuits

1/2 cup of cold butter or 1/2 cup margarine (if you must) cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups biscuit mix (notice how I cleverly say this generically as if no one would know what I really mean)
1 cup of canned (ick!) or cooked sweet N.O.T.
1/2 cup milk

Cut butter into biscuit mix until crumbly. One can do this with a fork or be like me and get in there with your hands. Do flour your hands first but y’all should already know to do that, right?

Combine the sweet N.O.T. and milk. Add to the biscuit mix, stirring with the fork just until moistened. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead 4 to 5 times. Again, or be like me and get in there with your hands. See hand flourin’ comment above.

Pat or roll out the dough to 3/4 inch thickness and cut with 2-inch round biscuit cutter. Or just roll ‘em out and press down with your hands like me. Again, see hand flourin’ comment above.

Place on large ungreased cookie sheet bake at 450°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. I trust y’all read recipes before y’all start so this is the place I will mention you should have already turned your oven on to preheat. Y’all knew this though, right?

Thus endeth the cookin’ lesson.

I need to go to the sto’ today and buy collard greens. The Pig has a sale on and is on the way to/from deheathenization. OYKW was makin’ noises about not deheathenizin’ today last night so I just might go be a Lutheran at nine a.m. and hit The Pig afterwards. Ten a.m. on a Sunday mornin’ sounds like a good time to brave the sto’.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Sunday flavored blurf
Give Ninja an ear scritch for me.
