So, again, are we supposed to sign the gifts or not?
And I’ll make my donation on Friday to Children and Family Services of NH, as we are selling 5 dollar gift cards for them at work, to put books in the hands of kids that might not get anything else this year.
Hey, I went out and bought my Secret Santa gift today! Luckily my recipient who shall remain unnamed gave me a very good hint, and I ended up buying one for them and one for myself! So thanks, recipient! It will go out in the mail tomorrow because I want to put some extra goodies in it.
Whew, I was scared for a second there, thought you drew my name and sent me a big old sausage.
I’m Ravenous for candy and seafood by the way, I’m pretty picky for being ravenous. I got the name from the movie. Those people weren’t picky one dang bit.
I’m confused on the charity aspect. I thought we were agreeing on a charity(ies) and making a lump sum donation to said charity(ies). Are we to take our $5 and donate it ourselves to a charity of our own choosing, or one of our giftees choice? If it’s one of our own, I’ll just increase the donation I plan on making to our local Hospice in my Mother’s name.
I thought I posted earlier, but apparently that sound is a hampster burping in satiation.
A friend of mine grabbed the – whatever I picked out for my recipient – and paid for it when we were in the — commercial establishment of one sort or another – so I didn’t actually shell out the money. I’m therefore going to add $10 to the $5 I’m giving to The American Friends Service Committee. (Casey – read upthread a bit – the last page, I think? Shirley has become daunted at the logistics and we’re going to do it on the honor system, to the charity of your choice.)
That’s what I did Casey, basically because it’s too hard for us non-Americans to get money to the USA (especially such a small sum as $5). And I’d prefer to support a local charity anyway.
