**Tripler ** - I’m glad that it arrived OK. And in less than a week. Australia Post and the American postal service have done an excellent job.
Try the Vegemite spread thinly on toast. Or have it with cheese on sandwiches. Or just keep it in the cupboard for the next 50 years. It never goes off.
Woo, he arrived. That’s pretty good going for this time of year.
You see he doesn’t sit up properly, 'cos he’s pissed (as in drunk, not upset).
Aussies are always pissed, so he should remind you of that.
Glad he’s arrived sound, but obviously with a hangover.
crossword book
super cool playing cards
hunter green golf tee
bubbles, woohooo I LOVE bubbles
MSU symbol, this is already on my bulletin board at work
magnet, this is on my frig holding the pizza menu
a key chain from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, SUPER cool (this is also on my bulletin board, I would put this on my key ring but I don’t want to lose it)
Santa came to my house today dressed like the mailman!
My 4 year old is bugging me to open it but must … resist … temptation!
I just have one question, Secret Santa: did you send me 2 packages or just one?
I received a package from someone in Michigan (presumably, you), and then a Priority Mail package from some place in San Fran. Are these both from you, or just the one in your handwriting?
If you don’t want me to know who you are just yet, just have Shirley Ujest email me and tell me. I can’t remember ordering anything online lately, so I’m not sure if I should open the one from SanFran or not.
The present I was GONNA get for my person is sold out I could still order it, but it wouldn’t get there until late January
It was perfect, too, doggone it.
Oh well … I guess I’ll just have to bundle up myself and the squirt and drive to the mall and go shopping, wandering from store to store looking at all the goodies. What a hard life! Oh, the burden!
Okay mine is finally out. That brown and yellow truck that comes by everyday here at Technical Thingies, Inc is taking it away to … ah, but I’m not telling just yet.
One note: It may look like a small child wrapped it (once you get inside the mailing container), but in fact it was a 41 year-old man. Wrapping presents is one skill I never, ever mastered.
YAY!!! My SS package arrived today!! Thank you so much, SS grins you know who you are! It is the perfect gift for me.
Now, my package will be a bit late in getting out, but it -will- be there by Christmas week. You see, I turned my ankle and fell last Thursday, at work, and it turns out that I fractured a bone in my left foot! Today I had a cast put on! I’m still hobbling quite a bit and in a bit of pain, but by this weekend should be mobile enough to get the gift and get it in the mail. I do apologize for the delay; let me assure you, I wish I could take back this fall! LOL
Oh, I forgot to tell ya’ll where my donation is going. Since I’m organizing Toys for Tots this year at my school (at last estimate, we had about 130 toys!), I decided to put the money towards toys for that.
I bought new toys for a donation drive as well, so that’s where my $5 has gone.
I also feel a bit guilty because everyone here assembled swell packages filled with thoughtful gifts, and I sent a gift card. But in my defense, my giftee said she wanted fragrances or perfumes, and because it is so easy to get that sort of thing wrong, I found the nearest store to her address so she could find a scent that she likes.
Your person certainly does like it!
Lindt dark chocolate truffles and scrumptious lavender bubble bath–heaven, I tells ya, heaven. (Although LilMiss has already attempted to abscond with the bubble bath. The threat of no pressies for her made her return said bubble bath very fast!)
Due to lackus vehicleus right now, I estimate my gift will wing it’s way out of Minnesota come Wednesday, maybe Friday.
My donation will be made once my car is up and going- Kitty litter, towels, Lysol, and kitty toys will go to the West Metro Humane Society.
I gave my gift to my father to mail yesterday. I would have taken it myself, except for the fact that between last Friday and Christmas Eve, I have two days off, today, for defending my thesis, and a week from Wednesday, because I have two finals and have to move out of my dorm. And sorry, I’m not standing in line after working 8+ hour days on five hours sleep during finals week. Crosses fingers, hopes it makes there on time. If not, terribly sorry.
Oh, and I’ll post when I get mine, but I’m not opening it until I do Christmas with my family (ie, my roommates and friends) a week from today. If I don’t get it by then, I’ll tear it open like a rapid weasel when it comes, or something like that.
My SS gift arrived safe and sound today! Thank you so much, the books are saved for a trip to our teeny little cabin at the coast where it will undoubtedly be raining like…well, anyway, raining real hard … Perfect reading weather. My husband wanted to arm wrestle me for the bookmark ( I could take him…) very cute!
The gift I am sending out should hit the road tomorrow. I still have to pick up one piece of it.
My donation to F.I.S.H. was delivered last week. My Real Estate Tour group pulled resources and took $500. They are the closest thing to a Food Bank we have here and they get hit so hard this time of year. In June we put together about the same for the local Habitat for Humanity.
Just wrapped mine – festively and for mailing – trip to the PO scheduled for this afternoon. I put a big SDMB above my return address so my recipient doesn’t freak about receiving a package from some strange woman in Philly.
I mailed the gift yesterday morning. (And the tag says To **Elenia28 ** - who has changed usernames to Anaamike. Too Late Now!) And for charity, I put $5 in the Salvation Army kettle. Merry Christmas, everybody!
