The stubbornness of old people (my parents)

I’m glad that when my parents years ago built the home they intended to retire in, they designed “handicapped” features into it. For example, wide doors without transitions so easy to get a wheelchair around. All the kitchen cabinets are at wheelchair height. They put in one of those bathtubs you sit in and has a door. Of course no stairs.

Moving into a retirement community doesnt have to be traumatic. My elderly 90 year old neighbors finally moved into one last year. they said its great and wished they had done it sooner.
