Yosemite!!! Hubby napping. Kids and I venturing for food.
I’m sorry for your loss, Emily
swampy, the need for coffee when I’ve klutzed it up and broken a carafe at an inconvenient time is why I still keep the stovetop percolator that I used to take camping.
I finished up the baby book in time for my stylist’s shower this afternoon. Then I went shopping and picked up a few bargains. Heading to the hills tomorrow with SIL and her chihuahua.
red I do have a four cup baby coffeemaker for emergencies. However, a quick look on teh intartoobz confirmed the availability of a proper carafe so we averted the crisis.
sunny have fun in (at?) Yosemite!
I was looking in my night stand for the gizmos I used for my shoulder PT a few years back, and I came across a plastic bag full of cords and phones - including a Razr, a cheapie Nokia, and an ancient Blackberry! The Blackberry is charging right now - wonder if it’d work if I put my SIM card in it…
MOOOOOOM ain’t but one way to find out. Please experiment and report back with your findings.
On that note, we shall now retire to the boudoir. I don’t know about OYKW, but I’ll be sleepin’ with Ben tonight. A*CHOO!!!
Nitey Nite Y’all1
Nyquil looks to be a popular bedmate around here tonight. I’m sick (again, dammit), DH thinks he might be getting my (current) bug.
I spent most of March with some illness or other, and have missed a lot of work and school as a result. This is not normal for me. It’s getting scary.
Currently, at least I was able to go to work the last couple of days, although I was definitely not performing at normal levels. Sore throat, one ear keeps clogging, I seem to be attempting to hack up both lungs (the coughing probably explains the sore throat), and I’m getting heartily sick of the “drowning in snot” sensation my sinuses are dishing out. A coworker who heard me coughing thinks I have bronchitis (she’s not someone I’d necessarily consider a good source of medical advice), and I do hope that’s not next up.
Mebbe someone should make a poster of that saying. ![]()
As for your shoplifter, Not everyone gets to be an astronaut when they grow up.
But reverse that - Kidnapping. Hubby & I venturing out for food. & you’re a bad, uncaring person. ![]()
It was a great tailgate, and my pimento cheese deviled aigs went well. but my deviled aig carrier went home with someone else. The game sucked. ![]()
I have an insulated stainless steel thermal carafe. It’s hard to break ,and the coffee stays fresher longer.
Southeast corner near Dothan I believe. For some reason he seems to keep floating back and forth between AL/GA/FLA all around like a 60 mile circle. Beloved Brother keeps better track of Strange Cousin than I do as a rule.
Very long strange day. Visit went fine. Friends wife died partly from malpractice and he has an amount of anger but its a healthy kind and under control. His actual kids (I’m a sort of adopted kid/younger brother) are helping and the people around his corner of woods are helping a lot.
From there we went to Bingo but between the nerves and all we were kinda drained and bailed out before the final game (Cover Your Ass). Tomorrow is chill and let the OW heal. Where they took a plug out of her side to test and biopsy is like the size of a small belly-button ---- and actually looks somewhat like that. So I ain’t giving her a choice but to catch up on napping and reading.
You know, had Wally let you down I would have driven through the night just to have a replacement on your doorstep by the break of dawn. Better that than a grumpy Whiskeypalian Bear headed off to church without his morning cup.
Holy crap on a frosty cracker - it’s in the 30s and windy like crazy out there!!! I looked at the 10-day forecast and there are 2 sub-freezing nights ahead - guess I need to drag my spider plants in… again… Stoopit weather.
I did notice this morning that grass is growing where the yard was seeded, so yay for that. I’ll water it again tomorrow. Today is for laundry, but probably not much else.
**FCD **is still abed and all of the critters are crashed for the moment. I’m caffeinating. Thus beginneth the day.
Happy Sunday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN I am pleased to report that new carafe has passed its inaugural run with flyin’ colors. 'Tis 48 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 72 and sunny for the day.
Today I get to ush and we shall dine upon various comestibles in the Parish hall followin’ deheathenization. After that it’s chill time for the rest of the day.
ruble how nice of you. Next time I break a carafe I’ll be sure and let you know.
Your cousin lives in my southwest forty. I grew up on the line in north Jawja in an area known as the Chattahoochee valley.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence at some point.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
I could have swprn I saw Margaret Hamilton on a bicycle swoop past my window this morning.
blurf
Didn’t go to bed 'til 4am. Nothing that exciting, twas Thunderbooming when I was going to go out last night so I didn’t go; ended up horizontal & unconscious on the sofa. At some point I remember waking up & pressing the power button on the remote & rolling over. When I woke up again, I was cold due to lack of blanket so then it was officially bed time.
Winds of 30mph, with gusts up to the old interstate speed limit of 55.
This caused me to get an email update that the 5k race (that I wasn’t doing) thru a park called the Runny Nose 5k was cxl’d as they think it may be unsafe due to potentially falling tree/limbs. From the email alert There is an irony here; the Runny Nose has been cancelled due to “excessive blowing”.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Doing laundry after work today. It’s 44 and windy out, Gordie’s long walk got cancelled due to windchill.
Back from breakfast and Lowe’s. My smoker stand is finally up in the garage. There’s a load of jeans in the washer. I’ve put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. How domestical is that??
Crazy windy here, too. **FCD **heard something crashing down in the yard overnight - we should probably go check to make sure it didn’t hit a fence and leave Higgs an escape route…
Watch out for zombies. :dubious:
I got deheathenized at the early service and will leave shortly to do laundry. I’ll take the dog, so that he can get a walk while the clothes are in the machine.
Is this day exciting or what?
Cold and zombies. Nothing worse than Walkers in a winter wonderland.

For mother’s side of the family he isn’t a very bad guy; just ----- odd. For some reason we have never figured out, every year or two he moves and every two moves or so he changes states. All the while basically working in the same place/places and all. We often joke about him as the Migratory Cousin Tom.
Of course — the OWs family have been within about 6 miles of the same spot for three generations. So in comparison EVERYONE looks migratory. ![]()
Brains they need
For their dinner
In our Mooom
They found a winner
But the plant could be right,
So sleep light tonight
