The tell someone you love them MMP

Good Morning! Happy Sunday!

I have the bed stripped and sheets washing and I have returned a DVD to the Redbox and got coffee. mr ems went fishing this morning but he shoul dbe back in about 30 mins and is taking me for brekkie. Another gorgeous day here in OK with and expected high of 82!

Man yesterday’s gardening adventures kicked my ass. I pulled 3 trash bags worth of weeds out of the flower bed, pulled out a dead tree that did not make it through last years drought. then sprayed for weeds, then put down new mulch in the bed, repotted my tomato and pepper seedlings into new pots and put out the solar lights. The only thing that doesn’t hurt right now is my left knee. I was in bed at 9.30 last night. How Rock ‘n’ Roll am I?

I am hongry! Hurry up mr ems!

Good morning, Mumpers!

First of all, hugs for Soapy and family. Do come in and tell us more about your father when you’re up to it.

Spent the day yesterday at a gardeners’ fair, listening to lectures and getting excited about all the possibilities. They had extra-good speakers this year, so now I have even more plans than usual. We’ll see what actually gets done.

Have been playing around with photos. (One of yesterday’s talks was about nature and plant photography.)

Am now going to go out to explore the garden.

Hugs.

(and thanks to **GT **for giving me a heads-up via mail, I haven’t been reading.)

Good morning everyone. I’ve been up and about for the last two hours or so.

I was pretty busy yesterday and the day before, so I’m hoping that today I can just relax and deal with the bare minimum of stuff to do around here.

The weather isn’t supposed to as nice as it was yesterday. We’re supposed to see showers by this afternoon. Yesterday was quite nice once the sun came out.

My sinuses ache! Matter of fact I didn’t make it through deheathenization. I left at the second lesson. OYKW and I went in separate vehicles cause after we ate N.O.L. he wanted to go to his place and take care of some laundry and such. I leaned over and told him I was in misery and had to leave. He could tell I was not feelin’ good. No doubt he figured it out durin’ the openin’ hymn Lift High The Cross which is one of the greatest hymns in The Hymnal as we Whiskypalians call our hymnal. I have a pretty fair singin’ voice, or so I’m told, and I just didn’t want to sing.

Thus home and have taken Benadryl [sup]TM[/sup] and am about to go have myself a nappy poo once it kicks in.

Stoopid pollen!

Laterz!

Cracker Barrel redeemed itself today. Good, attentive service and no sitting 20 minutes waiting for our meal. Plus it was free, so that was nice.

I’ve started laundry, and since it’s grey and dreary out, I doubt I’ll do any yard work. I see a lot of knitting in my afternoon.

gt, I think you need to take a nice vacation to southern Merrylande and help me figure out what the heck to do with my yard! Whaddaya think??

(((((soapy and roo)))))

Busy day here today, well as busy as it gets when you are up late! We had a lie-in and did “adult” things, then it was declared time to get up and do things we could share with the rest of the world. I have peeled, chopped and roasted two trays of assorted veggies so I can scoff them next week. After sammidges for lunch, I went out to weed the two borders on the drive, that took me a couple of hours and two full bags of weeds and stuff.

I completely emptied one border as it had a lot of love-in-a-mist, it’s not that I don’t like the flower but I had a lot in there the last two years and they have seeded everywhere. So I decided to take everything out and just leave the bed as it is, I’m pretty sure there are more seeds in there already so I’ll just wait and see what grows.

The other half of the L-shape had forget-me-nots which have pretty much taken over the whole side. I have left most of those in place, just thinned out a few of the plants and taken out a load of dead leaves from autumn and pulled dandelions, willow herb and other assorted bits that I don’t want. The forget-me-nots came from a pack of seeds that the vet gave me when we went to collect Orly’s remains after she died. Our vet is very thoughtful like that, she gave us a little card and the seeds so that we could plant them on Orly’s grave if we were going to bury her ashes. We haven’t, she is still sitting on the mantelpiece, being queen of all she surveys.

Anyway, as if that wasn’t enough effort, I have just done half an hour on the Wii too, so now I’m going to have a nice long soak in the bath and 'im indoors is going to make dinner tonight.

Hope you’re soon feeling better, swampy and I also hope the jobcentre’s kind to you next week, filbert. My temp contract will be ending very shortly so I may be joining you in the dole queue again!

I am about to wallow into my taxes. Og help me.

Why? Does Og know Creative Accounting?
I am home safely, and very much earlier than anticipated - which is a good thing.

we went up in the two technical categories, stayed the same in one creative category and went down in the other creative category; overall, up over 40 points, and just six points shy of moving up a grade; so YAY US!

No. I’m praying for $50s from heaven.

Napped and had a little N.O.L. Still not feelin’ great by any means but up for a while at least. ‘Tis really nice out but even steppin’ out for a minute makes me miserable! Pollen, pollen go away!

I just got done wallowing in my taxes. I had been putting it off because I just dreaded doing them. Two steps into the return, I was feeling downright sick.

However, we’re getting a return. The IRS will get about half of it because of our tax bill from last year, but still, I’m not paying. All the same, both my husband and I will be upping our retirement contribution.

An announcement on facebook from a friend states the cake has been chosen for his son’s wedding. Ok, the weddin’ of his son’s fiance too. He states the cake is top secret and that any revelations made would be on pain of death. So I took a guess and said it’s sweet and covered in frosting.

Lucky you. I didn’t get dinner, foreplay, or even lube.

That was me last year, Bobbio. :frowning: It’s also why the IRS is getting part of this return. I was on a payment plan for what I owed, and I still owe on that.

Trust me, at one point during the return it said we OWED and I was just sick and wondering how the hell we were going to be able to pay.

We’ve made an executive decision - Texas Roadhouse for supper. I’ll be calling in a few minutes for their call-ahead seating - I don’t think we’ve ever waited more than 10 minutes for a table, so yay.

I don’t know why I feel all draggy and tired - I’ve hardly done anything today. Two loads of laundry, but the most strenuous part of that is going up the stairs from the basement carrying a basket of clean clothes. Hardly a workout. Other than that, I’ve knitted and surfed. I’ll blame the dreary weather. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

It doesn’t seem like my weekend has been very relaxing or restful at all. I’m on my fifth load of laundry. Doing the taxes wore me out; mainly because I’d been stressing about them since the year began.

I’m thinking of just grabbing my Kindle and doing some reading, but I feel strangely restless, and vaguely guilty because there all kinds of things that still need doing around the house. I want to do SOMETHING, I just don’t know what that SOMETHING is.

I had a bath in the jacuzzi tub. I dumped a box of salt in and had the water as hot as I could stand it. The combo of steam and a hotwash cloth on my face while the jets were on seems to have helped a bit. Stoopid sinuses. Stoopid pollen.
