The too tough to die MMP

Sorry to hear. Now we’ll never know……(is your town small enough that you might run across him somewhere else? Did he ever mention his favorite pub, restaurant, tattoo parlor, dispo?)

My pearls are enjoying being clutched re your gentleman caller. :prayer_beads: let us know if he ever strays from gentlemanly~we’ll send Jane the Cane™️👩🏼‍🦯on the double to wreak monstrous havoc on him.

To the same Mumper;

The eagle has flown to the day after the green/

Holy crap on a cracker, is it ever snowing!!! And it could continue another hour or two. ugh. I don’t know how much has fallen because Taz has me pinned in my recliner, but last time I looked, it was accumulating on the grass.

We’re having English muffin mini pizzas for supper. FCD is still sleeping. Epic lazy day!

Happy Saturday!

No park today. When I looked out at 6am, it was snowing but not laying in the street or on the sidewalk.
I was going to go, but one friend texted back that his brother just came in from outside and it was snowing hard and was windy.
When I looked out at 8am, there was a few inches on the sidewalk and the street, so I guess I’m glad I didn’t go.
It’s still snowing, the wind is blowing harder, and snow is sticking to my windows.
Tomorrow is supposed to be really cold.
Then it will be spring!

My mother still hasn’t gotten her test results back. All she knows now is that the tumor has to go and it can’t be with surgery because if where it is. My mother is still saying she will not go through chemo. She sounded good when I talked with her yesterday, but the day before, she sounded really bad. We’re supposed to go down for dinner one day, I don’t know which. Niece2 is supposed to be coordinating everything.
Thank you Talky, I may take you up on your offer.

I have stuff to do and haven’t done much of anything.
I think I need a vacation.

Dang, I crashed out hard there for a while. Definitely needed the extra sleep.

Having a restorative hot cuppa now, and contemplating what’s next.

Afternoon all. Exercise has been exercised, got my 10-mile biking down to 44:19, so will look for another goal next week. Also find that I am pushing a larger variety of weights around and at higher levels than before. Not likely to make a Charles Atlas ad, but I figure it won’t hurt (well, not much; have some achy spots). Snow is pretty much gone except for the shaded areas, still only 35F but the sun has been out most of the day.

shoe, feeling sleepy myself, if I manage to stay upright I’ll get through it, but if I lay down…and neat seeing a bald eagle.

Oopsie, never had a tatoo (don’t like needles), but hope they can get it removed without any issues.

OK, need to start the dishwasher and consider nappage. All y’all take care.

Sahirrnee, I will keep you and your mom in my thoughts.

Snow ended a bit before 4 and now the sun is peeking out on and off. We got less than an inch - not even enough to cover what little grass (weeds?) are out there. But the temps have dropped 10 degrees since this morning, and I’m hearing forecasts of teens overnight. blech.

FCD us up and his mini-pizza are in the toaster oven. Mine is on deck - I used a tortilla instead because I’m not that crazy about English muffins as “crust.” Eatage shall ensue shortly.

Lazy feels good. I can highly recommend it.

Apparently “what’s next” involved a hot dog … with ketchup!

I still feel groggy post-nap, amd endlessly scrolling Facebook ain’t helping. I may take myself out on a walk - it’s stopped snowing & the fresh air should do me some good.

Way ahead of you there…
Cute grandbabby! I’m still waiting for the nibling to appear, it should be only a few weeks now. I expect she will compete for the cute babby contest.
At least after the first few weeks when babbies look kinda squished and weird and a bit like Winston Churchill

Didn’t do much today; wound up going into town with a friend to go shopping, visit the chip shop then go round her place to watch a film. T’was pleasant, but I’ve realised I’ve left my bag at hers- which contained my phone, so I can’t message her to ask her to bring it round tomorrow. Oops. Hopefully she notices and brings it over anyway… Lucky I don’t need to get up early tomorrow, because my phone is also my only alarm clock.

We’ve had no snow more than a few flakes here this winter- I’m a bit disappointed, as we have some very easily excitable South Americans on campus, and I’d kinda like to see how they react to a proper snowfall; they got all excited about a bit of frost on the car…

Unexpected and unwanted day off here. Too much snow to head out on the roads. I didn’t see a plow on my road until about 2 PM. I was planning on going into the shop and getting some shit done today. Instead, it has been a day of nothing.

My little walk was nice, and in fact, imbued me with enough wherewithal to do something I haven’t done in a long time: cook a proper homemade supper.

I procured the necessary supplies for something my ex (the I.T. Guy) and I came up with together. We called them “Chicken Doo-Dads” and they’re chunks of boobies stuffed with pickled jalapeño and mozzarella, then wrapped in bacon and pan-fried.
If the chicken is roughly, I dunno, just a big bigger than a golf ball, then by the time the bacon is done - rolling every few minutes to sear all sides - the chicken is done through and the cheese is all melty.

Except … I forgot that I need toothpicks to hold everything together. I scrounged up 5 or 6, but as I usually need a couple per each chicken thing, I may have to strategically re-use them.

Currently recuperating from the grocery store, and will commence prep and rolling them up shortly.

Evening y’all!

Picked up prescriptions and played around in the studio most of the day, although I did nap some. I’ve reset my clocks already (not like I’m going anywhere this evening) and as of tomorrow, the clock in the car will be correct once again.

I want the directions to that chicken dish purplehorseshoe. There’s nothing in is I don’t like.

Cut breasts into chunks roughly 1.5" on each side, and slice a slit into each. Insert one slice of pickled jalapeño and one small chunk of mozzarella cheese.

Wrap in a strip of thick cut bacon. This is hard to describe: you roll it until the bacon touches itself, then rotate 90 degrees and repeat. Shove in a couple of toothpicks, then sear on low in a nonstick skillet, rolling them onto each side.

Here’s them assembled and about to start cooking:

Down to 25°, and when I just let Higgs out, it felt really bitter, biting, gawd-awful cold out there.

The dishwasher is washing - I got that much done today. Shortly, I’ll return to my recliner and read. Sadly, there’s a disturbing lack of chocolate cake in this house. Dammit.

Almost done! I’ll post pics of the finished product shortly, to help show how they’re wrapped.

Meanwhile, the kittehs split a can of gooshy fud, mostly since I could actually find some, and, yanno, YOLO.

Oh, and the Gettin’ Sto’ had popsicles again! I was so excited. There’s some in the freezer, maybe they’ll be ready in time for dessert tonight.

Finished doo-dads. Celebrating with a pink popsicle (my favorite) to cap off dinner:

Those look yummy!

shoe Those look awesome. I’m attempting some chicken shawarma in the air fryer. We shall see how that goes.
