The Trick or Treat MMP

Missed it by one…or did I?

I like hm in the mornings for Columbo, or Monk.

**Spidey **- We rarely got to the Orange store - it’s too far away and, yeah, getting help there is a crapshoot.

Just pulled FCD’s b-day pie out of the oven. The doggone crust slipped down a bit when it was pre-baked, so there was extra filling that wouldn’t fit. So my sweetie got an extra treat! I used fresh lemons, so it should be especially yum!

I need to go out and do leaves. I don’t want to. How motivated am I??

And I didn’t do leaves. But I crocheted, and ran to the store, so there’s that.

Theres actually 3 hallmark channels hallmark which is usually light rom coms
the mystery and movie channel isn’t bad but the original hallmark channel is queasiness personified and sometimes the romances bleed over the channels ………

and theres Hallmark drama which we don’t seem to have in the listings yet So I don’t know if it actually launched or not
But since the Friday before Halloween and until the 2nd of jan its all 24 hours of xmas rom coms and weepers …….on both

oh yeah cause I missed ya answer the place you went to yesterday FCM is considered benihana style , same shtick they just originated it

ever notice the product placement on these hallmark xmas movies is funny as hell …… Dead broke about to be homeless mom loses the miracle lottery ticket? it gets sent back in a hallmark card by the kind stranger who accidently stole her car (don’t ask its a xmas romance )
Mom left a collectiable xmas heirloom that reunites a family that’s been dead to eachc other for 20 years ? its one of those 200 dollar gold crown ornaments they sell ……

cute and adorable 19 year old girl who got her heart broke at school decides to heal by saving grandmas xmas store that’s going ot get foreclosed at noon on xmas day ? grandma has a renamed hallmark store that should be on fifth avenue in NYC or rodeo drive in LA because no one in the twee little town can afford to shop there until 9 am on xmas …….

Yeah I end up watching waaayyy to much of this glop ….

I have noticed the same thing. One would think that they would consider their client base–27 checkouts of people who can’t figure out the bar code goes toward the window is not going to end well. I once had a minion who wanted to drag me to self-checkout, until I gave her my hourly rate, three hour minimum, and asked her where I filled out the W-4 form? I don’t work for free.

I’d rather do self checkout, then I don’t have to talk to anybody.

But even better is the jungle, then I don’t have to see anybody either.

I ordered a bunch of stuff today and it is going to take over a week to get here. I wonder if that is because of the distribution center in Balto.

swampie, what hymns did you sing this morning? Did you sing “I Sing a Song of the Saints of God”? Remember the parody of that one? Snerk

Thought you would like it. When I first heard it I was --------- amazed.

Not to me and thanks for making Pennsylvania proud again.
Update from what I hear on the grapevine - we may get some of the bosses from the other site at some point. Bosses have to be paid no matter what so they will probably give them some time to decompress and then spread them around like they did Cleveland. This event will throw some deliveries and operations off ------- actually by about now it may all be fixed. Some of the packages in the building may take an extra day to be replaced by somewhere else but our network around that area is so strong and big that other sites can pick up the volume and the customers won’t even notice. In a strange way it gives me some pride; as a family nationwide we mourn and we will heal but those of us silvertips who have years will keep the goal in focus.
Other than that stuffed peppers are cooking and the VIKINGS!!! WON!!! so I can accept this as a Sunday in my life.

It indeed has rained all day. Rode Ariel. Came home and have hung around with Ursala Kitteh, which means I watched tv and she slept on my lap.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, I ushed and the place is still standin’, and then we had brunch. This was followed by nappage and some Netflix. All in all a good day. Got rainyish this afternoon but we were all inside and snug.

CupCakes we (well, the choir, acolytes and clergy) processed round and round and round and round (like I said, EYP does love him a procession!) to For All The Saints for starters. Other hymns were Jerusalem My Happy Home and Ye Watchers And Ye Holy Ones. We did not sing I Sing A Song Of The Saints Of God but now I have the parody goin’ around in my haid.

WetOne glad the ear feels better.

I am a big fan of self checkout. I can scan, bag, and pay with the best of 'em!

And, you don’t have to *talk *to anyone!

sari, I haven’t had cable for nearly a decade now. There’s a lot of stuff to stream, including Monk and Columbo. I have a Roku and there’s a whole lot of free content that doesn’t cost anything more beyond my wifi bill.

spidey, I pop into the orange box sto’ now and then on a rainy weekend when Nelson needs to get out of the house. The ladies in the paint department keep treats and tend to spoil him rotten.

Heathenated and lunched. Our speaker today was from WKU and spoke on community. It was a lot of food for thought. I swung through Tar-jay and Tuesday Morning on the way home for toiletries at the former and found a nice stamp press at a bargain price at the latter.

Pie is yum! Weekend is over, dammit.

Peppers were also yum. And they give me enough srevotfel to hold me most of the week. Yeah me!

He is campaigning every day. He hasn’t stopped running. Worst President ever. IMO.

Good grief, we sang four hymns, and the one you didn’t sing was the fourth. Those three you did have were ours too.

Evening all. Another eight hours on the soccer field, refereed three games in the morning and coaching in the afternoon (girls won and finished third, so they got medals). After sittting around the house for an hour decompressing, went to Longhorn and had a steak (I like ranch dressing on my salad, but they put enough to drown the greens into one ranch-colored glob).

Just as we finished the girl’s game it started to rain, and it hasn’t stopped since then. Not a hard rain and no thunder-boomers, but nicely wetting things down.

Sari, much as I want to avoid politics in the MMP, I am afraid you’re right; as long as the economy stays relatively healthy, most people won’t ‘rock the boat’. I plan to vote straight Democratic, albeit in won’t make much difference in North Ali-bama.

FCM, ruble, glad your food is palatable.

I will used the 'do-it-yourself" checkout if I have 4-5 items or a bunch of the same items. Cart-loads go the checker. Wally’s place here usually has two checkouts manned, one at each end of the building.

I pass by the Hallmark Channel on the way to something…anything…else.

Night all; catch all y’all next MMP.
