The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

And not one person dared to ask the obvious follow-up question.

(But I bet a few were at least thinking it.)

I just got that joke. Thanks. It’s nice for a little levity to lessen the horror of the moment. And by moment, I mean the entire current federal administration in the United States of America.

Things Individual 1 said today:
After he wins four more years, he’s going to run again because he gets a do over because Obama spied on his campaign.

He said that it’s the Evangelicals who care more about his moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, than the Israelis do.
(I can’t find a link for it, it was a video on Twitter, and I can’t find that tweet, either. So, trust me. :D)

Remember how the Postal Service said they weren’t going to be taking out mail collection boxes? Yeah, well, they’re just locking them instead.

Not if you painted Minnesota orange, set it on fire and put CFSG in St. Cloud.

Ok, which is it?

The one which says “Cheeto-Faced ShitGibbon”. Come on, man, keep up. This acronym has been standard here for more than three years.

Trump says he will pardon someone “very important” tomorrow.

Trump will be trying extra hard to get all the attention back on him this week. Batten down the hatches.

Heh, cut me a break-just got here (registered a week or so before the conversion to Discourse, sticking around for that should count for something).

You have to admit, 1 or 2 of those acronyms would have worked. Cheeto-Faced ShitGibbon is better however. Although I don’t know way we’re casting vile aspersions on gibbons.

I’m trying to catch up. It is taking longer than I thought.

And yet he’s whining about the House holding hearings about the USPS during the Republican convention.

Side question - has Sage Rat posted anything in this thread that wasn’t complete bullshit?

That might be possible. The evangelicals see Israels and Jews as props for bring about the end times. Israelis actually have to live with the consequences of moving the embassy as they’re the ones surrounded by pissed-off, paranoid neighbors generating suicide bombers when they don’t get their way. It’s not that the Israelis don’t care, they care in a different way and aren’t “properly” grateful.

Betting it’s the Maxwell woman.

Yeahbut… I don’t think her crimes are strictly federal.

I prefer to think of God muttering from above “Medammit! Wrong one!”

Dotard just pardoned:

Yes, yes, and yes – America has always had anti-intellectual instincts. The story of America is one of conquering the brutal terrain and living conditions and moving gradually from one side of the country to the other, not sitting in candle-lit rooms and ruminating over the meaning of our existence until 3 a.m. Americans are more about grit and cunning than they are intellect. We respect that old dude on PBS who built his own cabin and lived out in the wilderness for 30 years a lot more than your average public health wonk, probably because we assume that the guy who felled those big trees and lived off his own kills could have been a scientist had he wanted to be, but have a hard time believing that Tony Fauci could live in the woods off his own kills. And besides, we just don’t really appreciate authority from afar in any form. We’ve always been like this.

The difference now is, idiots have their own microphone, printing press, and TV channels. Every moron has a stage.

So then according to this warped logic Obama should get a third term because Moscow Mitch promised to make him a 1-term president and blocked his Supreme Court nomination.

I wonder what would happen if trump wins in 2020 (shudder) and then in 2024 (if there were anything left of this country by then) actually started running for a third term? Would the GOP just go “yup sounds good to us,” skip any primaries and just nominate him again?

This all supposes we’d even bother with the appearance of elections at that point of course.

Har! Nope.

I doubt it. They are scrupulous when it comes to the constitution. Just look at how carefully they are parsing the words, “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” to explain why Harris isn’t eligible.

Of course, with that much attention to detail, they wouldn’t just ignore the 22nd Amendment, would they?
