The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

Hey, I think it’s a ridiculous argument for trump to make— “see this violence that’s happening under my watch, which has absolutely nothing to do with my policies and lack of leadership? It’ll be even worse under Biden”. I’m surprised and concerned that it may be gaining some traction.

sarcasm mode But he was forced to shoot those “violent anarchists” to defend Kenosha business properties.

My ire is directed at the white middle class suburbanites, not you, sorry.

But yeah, I don’t know how to make a message that will reach people that live in such a deluded bubble that they look at what is happening around them right now, and think, “Yeah, I’ll have more of the same.”

Well when you’re told that this is your country and that people are trying to take it away from you and your family, running through the crowded streets with an AR-15 seems like the right thing to do.

Except that NO ONE is “taking away” the country - having a different opinion on how to run things is not “taking away” the country unless you’ve given into a fear-mongering troll.

As many of this very board’s conservative members have made clear, holding right-wingers accountable for their actions is a form of politically-motivated persecution.

Speaking of which - I’ve lost track: has anyone pointed out yet that the officer Mike Pence mentioned in his RNC speech as being killed “during the riots” in Oakland was actually (well, allegedly at this point) killed by the right-wing extremist Boogaloo Boys? Technically true insofar as it did happen “during the riots” but deliberately misleading because the rioters had nothing to do with it.

The right-wing extremist Boogaloo Boys wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Antifa . . . so it’s still the left’s fault!

Apparently, there a lot of profit to be had in whipping up fear.

This article is from the National Review, a highly conservative publication. It’s not a liberal hit job. But the very conservative author was accused of writing a hit job, although his concern was that the wholesale fraud is damaging the cause.

Conservative fund raising is little more than an actual con job. One of the typical examples from this article — In 2016 Roger Stone raised $537,000 for the Commitee to Restore America’s Greatness, a PAC dedicated to supporting Trump. He spent a grand total of $16,000 of that on supporting Trump.

There are dozens, if not hundreds of conservative scams. Mike Huckabee hawked a biblical cancer cure via e-mail. It’s depressing, you can’t cure gullible.

I got really depressed this morning after accidentally watching prosperity gospel preachers Joel and Victoria Osteen for about 3 minutes.
Because they are such obvious frauds that they make me skin crawl. He oozes insincerity from every greasy pore and she closes are eyes and sways while he prays like she’s having some sort of divine revelation.

The fact that they manage to defraud as many people as they do despite being such obvious stereotypical con men sends me into despair. All my hopes of sanity in the world are totally lost. Best to start the depression phase now, it’ll make Nov 4th so much easier.

As Trae Crowder put it, “Republicans are like arsonists standing in your burned down house, saying 'Yeah, it’s burnt down, but if Biden were president it’d be full of gays and Mexicans.”

President Donald Trump finally let loose Saturday on his niece Mary L. Trump for her harshly critical book about him, calling her “unstable.”

He also blasted Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward and former national security adviser John Bolton, who both spilled — or will spill — damning details about him in books.

Trump tweeted that only books that make him look bad have a chance at being published.

He called Bolton a “dumb warmonger” in an attack tweet. The worst he could call Woodward was a “social pretender” with nothing good to say.

But Trump was particularly vicious about his niece. He said she was “rightfully shunned, scorned and mocked her entire life” and was “never even liked by her own … grandfather.”

Boo-fucking-hoo.

“Pretender”?? That’s the best he could do?

He probably wanted to call Woodward “a big poopy head,” but someone on his staff talked him out of it.

It put the USA on the right track for eight years. The fact it veered in the wrong direction in 2016 was a separate decision.

Didn’t take til 2016

It was already falling apart in 2010 when Republicans picked up wins all over in state houses, the HOR, and the senate.

People blamed democrats for not being fast enough to fix the problems that republicans caused, even while the republicans were fighting tooth and nail to keep them from doing so.

Biden will burn it down more!

Ah; let me remind you that Republicans are ALWAYS the REAL victims!

Well, the unsettling aspect to that piece is where the author starts talking about how, if just a little bit more of that money had been used as intended, the Rs might still have control of the house. Because, RWers are the good people. Makes me feel like unto a fretful porpentine.

As I said in another thread:

They’re trying to set up a pretense, establish a “reasonable” fear of deadly violence. What they want is an excuse to murder fellow humans, countrypersons, and citizens without fear of consequences. That’s really what the whole Second Amendment thing is about. They are hungry for the blood of their fellow Americans.

Not fellow Americans. Opposition Americans.

That’s for sure. I selected the National Review article because it’s a conservative source and readers are less likely to dismiss is as “fake news”. But there certainly is a conservative slant to his opinion.

This is giving me a sliver of hope. Because this is still going on, more than ever. I love it that they are focusing their energies on stealing instead of winning and I hope it keeps happening

I just found this article ( from another right wing site ) that has a clear and concise explanation of how the PAC scam works.
And the “base” refuses to believe it when you tell them they’re being ripped off. What can you do?
