What? Something has finally gotten the Pubs’ attention?
Members of Congress in both parties demanded answers on Monday about reported bounties paid by Russian operatives to Afghan insurgents for targeting American troops.
The stories appeared to have taken even the most senior lawmakers off guard, and they said they wanted briefings soon from the Defense Department and the intelligence community.
“I think it is absolutely essential that we get the information and be able to judge its credibility,” said Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee.

This mentality defines not only Trump but some of his most ardent supporters, like the ones who don’t wear masks. They believe that the virus is just some sort of challenge to manhood or some sort of Biblical test that is to be overcome by the true believers of Lord Testosterone.
But this is also the thinking that underlines the thoughts of America’s modern patricians. Social Darwinism shapes their views of modern capitalism and what economics should be, essentially framing economics not as a product of utilitarianism but rather as a game of winners and losers, predators and prey.
Trump screwed his contractors and his creditors, and whereas many of us are outraged at the lack of transparency, his supporters rationalize it on the grounds that capitalism, life itself, is little more than blood sport. If they were dumb enough to lend him the money or trust him to be paid, that’s just their tough shit. Shoulda done their due diligence and found someone more trustworthy, I guess. They identify with the bully over the runt, the con-artist over the one getting conned – unless they are the victims, of course. Then they scream bloody murder.
Yeah. The polls, showing they gotta do something to save their phony-baloney jobs.

We should tell him that Obama gets to golf whenever he wants to.

And he doesn’t need any Secret Service protection. In fact, Obama laughs at people who think they do.

Y’all heard, of course, about that Trump tweet of the golf cart parade with the people shouting “White Power” that K-Lee McInane said the prez tweeted because he didn’t hear the “White Power” part.
Then there was this (bold added by me):

Well, the economy is in shambles, there is racial tension and an epidemic. From Trumps’ point of view, what the hell else could go wrong?

Considering the fact that Trump is on his third Secret Service Director, might there be a chance the USSS has been corrupted to the point that the agents assigned to him serve him and not the office of the Presidency itself?
Considering that, aside from breaking the government (and even that, to some extent), everything he does he fucks up, not having him accessible seems like a concern of the lowest order.
