He’s the loudmouth that was the co-sponsor of a resolution a couple of days ago.
The resolution, introduced in conjunction with counterparts in the House of Representatives, disapproves and rejects the Secretary of Commonwealth’s premature certification of the results of the November 3 vote pertaining to presidential electors.
The legislative resolution directs State Department Secretary Kathy Boockvar to withdraw and vacate the certification of the presidential election.
By signing them up for the new, private TrumpCare plans. It is open season, after all, and two weeks have come up for TrumpCare to be rolled out.
I gather this hasn’t actually come up for a vote in either chamber of the PA legislature, correct? I also understood the PA State Supreme Court has basically said the certification is a done deal, yes? And didn’t SCOTUS rule the absentee ballots can and should be counted? Maybe I got that last one wrong but I’m rather certain this is a laughably dumb maneuver on the part of these yahoos. Pretty sure they can’t change the rules after the election.
It won’t stop them from trying. The PA GOP is both asinine and corrupt. If they don’t succeed (which is unlikely to say the least), I suspect they’ll try to get the (BIPARTISAN!) change that allowed no excuse needed for mail-in ballots changed to no excuse is sufficient for mail-in ballots, voting will only be in-person. Better yet, they’ll try to get the electoral slate chosen by the legislature in all future elections, because obviously if the people elected them to office, they will do what the people want.
Note that PA is heavily gerrymandered to favor electing GOP candidates so despite having far more Democrats than Republicans, both chambers are controlled by Republicans. I seriously want districts to be drawn by computer algorithm (basically, most compact area containing requisite population, don’t split districts down the middle of streets or houses), but I don’t see that happening unless another federal voting rights act mandates that gerrymandering isn’t allowed in any state ever again. Might even take a Constitutional Amendment.

How essackly is this supposed to work??? I thought that once the poll worker person matched the signatures, they separated the ballots from the envelopes and threw the envelopes away BECAUSE IT’S A SECRET BALLOT!! You should not be able to match signatures with marked ballots.
