The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

I’m sorry, sorry, sorry… please don’t sue! I’m just a poor widow woman with a dog and two cats to feed. :sob:

New topic:

Is it my imagination or is Donnie’s crew getting stupider every day?

You see, “people” are asking questions about Biden’s visit to the doctor yesterday — a visit his team acknowledged the same day his injury was confirmed.

“The Biden team is facing questions about why reporters weren’t even told right away what happened and why they couldn’t see Biden on the way to the doctor.”

Uh huh …

Days before Thanksgiving last year, President Donald Trump made an unannounced and previously unscheduled trip to Walter Reed medical center. The White House said the trip was for a “quick exam and labs.” We still don’t know why he actually went – or what the outcome of his visit was.

On Sunday, three days after Thanksgiving this year, President-elect Joe Biden slipped and hurt his foot while playing with his dog, Major. We were quickly told – via the traveling press pool – that Biden was going to see his orthopedist out of an abundance of caution. Within two hours, there was a statement from Dr. Kevin O’Connor noting that Biden’s foot had been X-rayed and it appeared as though he had a sprain. A CT scan was going to be conducted just to confirm the diagnosis, however.

Then, 90 minutes after that, came this, again from O’Connor: “Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging. Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.”

By the way, did Trump ever finish the second half of his physical?

He will if they can ever find the second half of his brain.

I would suggest a colonoscopy.

That video reminds me; did the CFSG ever actually re-paint Air Force 1? Or was that another thing to do in two weeks?

One thing about The Donald, he’d never break his foot playing with his dog!

(Breaking his hand playing with his “mushroom,” though …)

“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr said.

Uh, oh…Twitter Tantrum incoming.

And a pink slip. (I hope.)

And I don’t mean the kind found in the Miss Universe contestants’ dressing room.

If I remember correctly, the plan was to have that new paint scheme applied to the two VC-25Bs (modified 747-8s) which are currently being refit to replace the current VC-25As which serve as Air Force One (which is technically the callsign for any USAF aircraft currently carrying the President).

Further evidence (as if we needed any…):

Huh?

Donald Trump is heading to Georgia on Saturday for an appearance with Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. The purpose of the visit is supposedly to drive turnout for the runoff election coming in January, but on Tuesday morning Trump had a different message: Let’s call the whole thing off.

Tweeting in response to conspiracy theories about more skullduggery by the Hugo Chavez-inspired Dominion voting systems, Trump sent a message to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp saying that he had allowed the state to be “scammed.” Trump then told Kemp to “call off election. It won’t be needed. We will all win!” How this is supposed to work is completely unclear. Is Trump suggesting that if there’s no election, Loeffler and Perdue win by default? Is this one of those times when Republicans shake their fist at the 17th Amendment and its insidious support of democracy? Is Trump even talking about the Senate election at all, or is he telling Kemp to call off the already certified presidential race?

Who knows. But it’s certainly a perfect tone for Trump to adopt when he makes his visit to the peach state.

As the Associated Press reports, Trump is expected in Georgia on Saturday, where he will … he will … honestly, they don’t know. There’s no better representation of just where the Republican Party is now than the way they are eyeing Trump’s visit.

But maybe Trump will explain on Saturday how Georgia can push back on the will of the voters. Or maybe he will just convince his own supporters that “voting” in “elections” is a game for suckers. One thing is clear—Republicans are right to be terrified of Trump’s visit. They’ve painted themselves into a corner. And now Trump wants that corner.

So the new Senate convenes on January 3. The Georgia runoffs are January 5. I guess that means that, for two days, the Republicans will be down one seat because Perdue won’t be a Senator for those two days.

I’m all in favor of spreading the word amongst Georgia Republicans, that Donald has cancelled the election.

And Rudy and Jenna Ellis go after him.

I will explode with delight if Donald succeeds in spreading so much confusion about the election that he suppresses Republican turnout enough that they lose the Senate seats.

Anybody not see this coming?

Actually, I didn’t. Not before there was a Biden Administration, anyway.

I started a thread for it in P&E, for those interested in discussing the issue in a more polite way. I debated starting it in the Pit, which for my thoughts would be more appropriate.

I suppose it depends on whether “this” in my first post refers to the bribery scheme or the investigation thereof.

It was Judge Beryl Howell who ordered the records unsealed. I guess I was surprised that any investigations were occurring under a Barr DOJ. You’re absolutely right that the fact of a bribery scheme itself is not a surprise!

Which raises the question, will Trump use campaign funds to bribe himself into giving himself a pardon for using campaign funds to bribe himself?

Somewhere - Kirk’s ears perked up.

Kirk… Cameron? Cousins? James Tiberious?

The Trump paint scheme was to be applied to the two new aircraft due to be put in service by 2024. The final decision on paint will be made in 2021 so Biden can change it, but he has not commented on it as yet. Somehow I can’t see him going for Air Force One looking like Trump’s jet.
