The thing is … and this is deep inside the CNN article, he’s not going to be able to get away with just leaving for a few days at the end of each month. The rules set by Palm Beach say that no one can stay there more than 21 days per YEAR, and no more than seven consecutive days. So maybe he’ll be evicted twice this year. ( There was some reporting yesterday that he has said he’d refuse to leave the White House on Jan 20th, which would be be delightful- but I couldn’t find it picked up by a major news source ).
I do agree with you about how fast his power will slip. Especially among the evangelicals because they are, what’s that word Republicans have for amoral unadulterated self-interest… oh, transactional
Technically, it looks like there is one place to stay in Palm Beach, and it runs well over $500 a night. However, Palm Beach is on the barrier island: there is quite a bit more to choose from in West Palm Beach, down as far as the Red Roof Inn type sub-hundred-dollar range, well within a couple miles of MaL. Though, if it is the SS organization, they will be able to work some sort of group rate at a decent lodging.
Perhaps Hunter can look into opening a chain of hotels in the area…with big signs “Biden’s Place” and advertise on all the roads to and fro the places Trump enjoys the most.
Ah, that explains something I overheard. As some of you know, my father’s a banker in Berlin, and he was on a big zoom meeting where his Überboss said something, and all the bank officers replied in song:
“Herr Trump just might have a problem that we understand…”
Donald Trump is the next would be dictator. He’ll continue to fleece his idotic base for campaign contributions for his 2024 presidential run (making sure to milk it for as much personal gain ss he can). And they’ll keep contributing. All he has to do is continue portraying his base as victims and making them feel important. His appeal isn’t about power, it’s about hate, greed, and sticking it to the libs. And that stuff will continue.
Bettors who wagered thousands of dollars that President Donald Trump would win the 2020 presidential election are now planning legal action against at least one online gambling site for their return, according to a report published by The Daily Beast.
European bettors told the publication they bet money on a major online gambling service called Betfair in favor of Trump winning reelection. Now they’re calling out the company or planning suits because they still believe that Trump could be victorious, according to The Daily Beast.
