The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

it’s listed in the tax rolls as not a domicile.

I know it’s been discussed ad nauseum here, but we’re getting down to crunch time, and the NYT has an article out today that Trump is pretty damn close to pardoning himself in the final days of his term.

Mr. Trump has shown signs that his level of interest in pardoning himself goes beyond idle musings. He has long maintained he has the power to pardon himself and his polling of aides’ views is typically a sign that he is preparing to follow through on his aims. He has also become increasingly convinced that his perceived enemies will use the levers of law enforcement to target him after he leaves office.

The discussions between Mr. Trump and his aides about a self-pardon came before his pressure over the weekend on Georgia officials to help him try to overturn the elections results or his incitement of the riots at the Capitol. Trump allies believe that both episodes increased Mr. Trump’s criminal exposure.

As aides urged Mr. Trump to issue a strong condemnation on Wednesday and he rejected that advice, the White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, warned Mr. Trump that he could face legal exposure for the riot given that he had urged his supporters to march to the Capitol and “fight” beforehand, according to people briefed on the discussion. Mr. Trump had appeared to White House aides to be enjoying watching the scenes play out on television.

So, the final two weeks? This shit’s gonna be bananas.

So it’s up to the local taxing authority (county?) to enforce it? With what-- electric staplers? More fines/lawsuits that he will ignore?

# Perino: Don’t tar all Trump supporters with violence we saw at Capitol

Fuck you. You are a part of the insurrection by spreading lies about ‘fraud’ bullshit. You encouraged them, You helped egg them on. You are guilty. And if you had any decency, you would be ashamed.

Yep. I predicted the craziest two weeks in American history, and I think I may be right.

Every single Republican candidate is to blame. They spent 6 months ginning up fear of the Radical leftist mob that will be “coming for you” if the Democrats won. They promised their supporters that Democrats would burn down their neighborhoods and take their money and give it to black people if they were re-elected.

Then they told those same people that they really won, but the Democrats stole the election just so they could destroy them and their country.

WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY EXPECT TO HAPPEN ?

They need to quit acting surprised, this was completely predictable. It was inevitable.

Hmmm…I intended to reply about pardons but I got sidetracked. I think Biden needs to promise to issue all these pardons so Trump doesn’t have to. Then on January 21st, he can say HA HA MOTHERFUCKER…PSYCH, I LIED…and by the way, when I said I wasn’t going to have my DOJ go after you, I lied about that, too.

Won’t happen, but it was a nice fantasy.

L. Graham: Why I do de-clay-ah, if Trump orchestrates one more, I say, one more coup, we’ll just have to see what happens…flutters fan in front of himself and walks away with a smile

And bunches of angry Trumpists were all over social media for months in advance announcing their deliberate plans to employ intimidation and violence:

And then when a gang of these goons, entirely predictably and predictedly, start some violent shit and look like they might actually get in some serious trouble for it, they run away bawling “MOMMMMY IT WASN’T MEEEEE, IT WAS THAT MEAN ANTIFA KID FROM NEXT DOOR!” What a bunch of craven asswipes.

I think that Mcconnell secretly wished Trump would never be elected, but If McConnell had secretly wanted him removed from office last year Trump would have been removed. McConnell would have set up a real trial in the Senate rather than that sham the we ended up with and if he pushed could easily have found another 16 like minded Senators to go along with him to boot Trump out. Presumably he reasoned that as bad as a president Trump was for the Republican brand, an successfully impeached Trump would have been worse.

Rush Limbaugh: “There’s a lot of people calling for the end of violence…I am glad Sam Adams, Thomas Paine, the actual Tea Party guys, the men at Lexington and Concord didn’t feel that way.”

God help me, never before have I ever come this close to rooting for cancer.

I don’t think he could have allowed a real trial without enraging the Trumpists. He certainly couldn’t have allowed Trump to be convicted. I think most Republican actions can be framed around their fear of the horde.

They are the horde.

And if my aunt had wheels she’d be a bus.

This is just a fun headline. I’ll just leave this here for your enjoyment.

Pelosi Vows to Impeach Trump Again - If Pence Doesn’t Remove Him First

Sorta sounds like they are fighting over who gets to do the honors. Which they might be. Pence is supposedly furious at Trump.

Trap door, though. There is absolutely no way in hell that ShitStain could actually author a pardon. He has to get one of his staff to compose it and print it up. It will be comprised of about 500 words. Orange ShitStain will be able to read about thirty or forty of them, the remainder becoming some vague blurry legalese that he will briefly skim before signing.

Hence, whatever the author puts into the pardon will go right past him. The person who writes up the pardon wants to have a real future beyond the festering ignominy of having worked in the WhiteStainHouse. What do you suppose that person might embed in the text?

Ooh, is he going to give Trump a stern look? Maybe even a disapproving glance?

I’m betting Mother could kick his ass…

Biggest Lie Of The Day

# White House press secretary: Capitol rioters are ‘opposite of everything this administration stands for’

First president since Hoover to leave office having lost his party the White House, Senate and House of Representatives by the end of the first term.

# Trump condemns riots, says he will focus on transition in taped remarks

Yesterday, he loved them. Today…oh look! A bus!

Trump has dispatched so many buses he could get a job at Greyhound.
