Ford issued a blanket pardon for Nixon for all crimes he may have committed.
Does that include pardons?
Pelosi spoke with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs about what to do if Individual 1 tries to use the nuclear codes.
There are occasional signs that he’s started to grow a notochord, but one cannot expect miracles…
Yikes!
Very dark poetic justice there, they did tread on her. And then Trump too by disowning her and the rest of the seditionists.
Do you think Barr is regretting that he jumped ship when he did?
I think Jan 6th was why he resigned. He saw this coming and he got out of the way.
# Dominion Voting Systems files $1.3B defamation suit against ex-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell
It’s about Goddamned time.
Governor of Maryland says he was blocked from sending the MD National Guard to Washington.
I can’t help but remember that 4 people died in Benghazi.
I wonder if all the fuckers who were sooooo, soooooo, soooooooooooooooo invested in punishing Democrats and Hillary Clinton for those circumstances will be remotely concerned about a greater number of deaths occurring at our own Capitol building.
(I’m lying. I don’t wonder at all.)
I’ve seen a number of lawyers state that Ford’s pardon of Nixon only stood because it was never challenged in a court of law. The opinion seemed to be that the blanket pardon could be set aside if it had been challenged in court.
(I’d provide a cite, but I’ve seen so many discussions about laws, courts, politics, $45 and so on and so forth over the last few weeks that I no longer remember where or when I saw it, although I think it was one of the lawyer feeds on Twitter.)
While she’s about 3 years behind on this sentiment, she did say something about which I’ve been wondering.
Are there Senators (and/or Reps, for that matter), that would seriously consider switching parties? Besides Murkowski, perhaps Collins, Romney, Toomey?
To every single Republican Senator (bar Romney, sort of) now wringing their hands and declaring that they can’t believe how bad Trump is, I say: fuck you all. You all could have had the evidence presented to you on a silver platter a year ago and you said no. This is on you.
Romney’s in Utah, so no way. I’ll give Mormons some credit for being dubious of Trump from the start (which is why Romney is free to criticize him) but Utah is very conservative. Dunno enough about PA politics to say anything about Toomey.
Collins…maybe? Although she got hammered hard by the Democrats in the last election so I can’t imagine she’s happy with them, but maybe she’d go independent.
This is sorta’ how I feel. Murkowski is up for reelection next cycle so I’ll give her a little more credit but still, you had the chance to get rid of him back in February.
Grandmother of the WV Delegate Rep, as he was being arrested for his terrorist activities: “He (her grandson)'s a fine man. And thank you, Mr. Trump, for invoking that riot at the white house.”
On CNN now. Twitter suspends Trump’s account permanently.
I would think it more likely they might go Independent rather that become Democrats. But with Dems in the majority, it would be beneficial to them to caucus with the Democrats.
I don’t think I can face palm hard enough to be worthy of that. Especially the last two words.
