Eric Trump Makes Delusional Claim About Dad’s Popularity, And Twitter Users...
Donald Trump's second-born son insisted to Sean Hannity that his father is the most beloved political figure in U.S. history.
Cartoon genius.
I’m old enough to remember when the Dixie Chicks were canceled.
Yeah, but they committed treason when they criticized the president.
/s on my part, but I did hear that argument at the time from the right.

Didn’t the right criticize the President a time or two?
Not Trumpian per se, but Hakeem Jefferies used the phrase “Crackpot Caucus” to describe his republican colleagues. I love that, and hope it sticks.
Didn’t the right criticize the President a time or two?
IOKWARDI
Didn’t the right criticize the President a time or two?
Well yes, but that was because they were being patriotic.
We all know that Republicans are the rightful leaders, and so criticizing them is treason, while if a Democrat has unfairly taken over the office, then it is the responsibility of all right thinking Americans to point all flaws they perceive, real and imagined.
Didn’t the right criticize the President a time or two?
You mean that time he failed to get Limbaugh’s ass completely clean and, omg, he spit instead of swallowing?

Eric Trump Makes Delusional Claim About Dad’s Popularity, And Twitter Users Pounce
I’ve brought this up before – maybe even in this thread – but I think it bears repeating: It’s time for the media to stop reporting everything Trump says, and that goes quadruple for his spawn. It isn’t news anymore, and you (the media, not you, Rick) reporting it is the only thing making it remotely newsworthy. Please, just ignore shit like this.
Please,[media] just ignore shit like this.
But they can’t!
“Someone is wrong on the internet!”
But they can. Yahoo News may not be Reuters, but they’re not you or me cruising the web with nothing better to do, either. They have finite staff, finite funds and finite time to publish content. It’s high time they deployed those finite resources to disseminating content that doesn’t portray the Trumps as just a bunch of pasty Kardashians whose every utterance is news. Ignore them, please.

To be fair, Yahoo is simply repeating a Huff Post article there.
“In light of your disputing these factual allegations, I write to invite you to provide testimony under oath, either before or during the Senate impeachment trial, concerning your conduct on January 6, 2021,” Democratic lawmaker Jamie Raskin, the lead House impeachment manager, wrote in a letter to Trump and his attorneys.
Raskin asked Trump to provide testimony between Feb. 8 and 11.
“If you decline this invitation, we reserve any and all rights, including the right to establish at trial that your refusal to testify supports a strong adverse inference regarding your actions (and inaction) on January 6, 2021,” Raskin wrote.
It was not immediately clear whether Trump would agree to the request. Trump’s representatives and lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
!!!
Calling Trump to testify under oath!
There’s no way he’ll agree.
So what will happen then?
In a response, a Trump adviser said the former president won't testify.
There’s no way he’ll agree.
LOL, just reported on MSNBC: He’s already refused to testify.
ETA: I wonder if they asked him before his lawyers said he wouldn’t?
It’s here, too
The head impeachment manager has asked Trump to testify under oath next week at his own impeachment trial. Will he accept?
!!!

I agree with you, Cal, there is no way anyone associated with him (and having half or even a quarter of a brain) would let him testify under oath in that situation.
However…IF he truly does believe what he has been fed about how the election was ‘stole’ from him, and given that he is now off the ‘big screen’ that he loves so much and not getting the attention paid to him (that is his due, in his opinion), the temptation to appear and testify, to get back on the stage and in front of the adoring masses again, has got to be damn near killing him. I mean, the ratings would be through the roof! Every channel would cover it LIVE!! It’s like a Trump Nirvana.
We’ll see what transpires.
IMHO as always. YMMV
The letter implicitely stated -
If you decline this invitation, we reserve any and all rights, including the right to establish at trial that your refusal to testify supports a strong adverse inference regarding your actions (and inaction) on January 6, 2021.

Big fucking deal. What the hell does trump care if there’s “strong adverse inference”? Assuming he has any idea what that means? That kind of empty scary-lawyer-talk has never fazed him. And anyway, all he has to do is testify that he did nothing wrong, that he’s the greatest, most beloved, most accomplished president who ever lived, 'cause in his world that is the truth. As usual, no consequences.
