The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

See? @eschereal circled the discussion back around to one of the main fuckers in the clusterfuck. Well played, sir!

Padding little? Or padding ton?

(Just got both those movies for my birthday… Paddington 2 is one of the best films I’ve seen. And that’s coming from someone who’s seen a ton of classics)

Cecilia, great song by Simon and Garfunkel. Very catchy.

Mornington Crescent, duh.

Yes, definitely!

I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed someone’s taken my place

Oh Cecilia, I’m down on my knees, begging you, please…

Yes, but it has a lot of competition on the fantastic album that it comes from, including the title song “Bridge over Troubled Water”, plus “The Boxer”, “The Only Living Boy in New York”, and others. Very nostalgic to us boomers!

On the topic of shitstain’s ongoing clusterfuck,

apparently, the post office is evil and must die

Oh, man, someone could start a game of Mornington Crescent, but only if we needed to get to 10k by midnight…

It’s fairly obvious that DeJoy has been up to quite a bit of fuckery since he took the reins. So…why is he still not fired like a dog?

Dejoy was installed by the USPS board of governors, who have control over who shall be the Postmaster General. He can only be removed by the board of governors. Barack Obama was to appoint four members to the board, but, naturally Mitchovitch Musconnelin held up those appointments until the positions could be filled by the Cheeto-Faced Extraterrestrial-Ferret-Wearing ShitGibbon.

Hence, the unfucking of the Post Office is a thing that is not to be imminent. The Rs have been working hard for more than a decade and a half to turn it into a smoking ruin, and they are unlikely to give back any of their hard-earned ground.

I saw an article a few days ago suggesting that there may yet be some hope for the Post Office.

First, DeJoy’s term is just two years, so that at least puts some limit on his tenure. It’s not like he has a ten-year term like the Chairman of the Fed does.

Second, the board of governors has a couple of vacancies that Biden can fill. And there are a couple of Democrats that Trump appointed who, although they are conservative leaning, could possibly be persuaded to dump DeJoy. There are a couple others whose terms have expired but they are still there for lack of replacement. So Biden could replace those. (Not clear if those are the same two “vacancies” already mentioned.)

And if DeJoy fucks up enough (as he seems to have every intention of doing), maybe there will be enough public pressure, or pressure from Congress, to dump him.

So, security was the reason a whole bunch of Voice of America staffers did not receive visas, right? right?

Trump acquitted. There is no justice. America is done.

Republicans are evil.

While tidying up the closets a few months ago, I found the stack of children’s books I had been given about the saints. Two of them were presented as bedtime stories, each ending with a phrase like “Now, child, go to sleep!” The stories were presented in an overly dramatic fashion too; one of them went into great detail about the saint-to-be weeping for Jesus as the flames consumed her tiny body.

brilliant!!

Trump was acquitted and McConnell continues to sicken . . . There is nothing new under the sun.

Clearly angry, the Senate’s longest-serving Republican leader said Trump’s actions surrounding the attack on Congress were “a disgraceful, disgraceful dereliction of duty.” He even noted that though Trump is now out of office, he remains subject to the country’s criminal and civil laws. “He didn’t get away with anything yet,” McConnell said.

If he appears on the GOP ticket in 2024, he sure as fuck did.

I’m sure McConnell will continue aiding letting him get away with it.

I’m pretty sure Trump is still walking around while 5 people who were when 6 January began are now no longer able to do so. That’s over a month now that Trump has gotten away with it.

And you, Mitch, could have held him accountable but you didn’t. So now he’s getting away with it for even longer.

Why??? What the fuck is it that makes all these people defend this man to the very detriment of our democracy?
