The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

With me, the issue arose as I began encountering more people who held religious beliefs that were different than the ones I was raised on. But I could see that they believed just as fully in their religious beliefs as I did in mine. And this made me realize that faith, however strong it might be, does not prove that something is true.

Loser Donald says Biden wants to make the US carbon-neutral by 2:30.

I truly apologize if I’m being wooshed here, but I fail to see the difference. Trump doesn’t seem to actually come up with any of these ideas himself, he just grabs them from the last idiot he listened or talked to that agreed with him.

I mean, all assholes of this stripe already have the delusion that they can reason in the first place. They’re all wrong in that they’re not reasoning at all, and just glomming on to whoever spouts imaginary nonsense that agrees with their desired reality. Contrary evidence cannot penetrate.

Unfortunately, Louie apparently will still be able to talk through one, so they’re not entirely effective.

Side note: I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in east Texas, and I’m well aware that the region has its share of dumbshit crackers, but Gohmert so impresses his constituency that he’s been re-elected seven times? Jesus wept.

Roughly 48 hours left before the clock runs out to put a fucking covid relief package together, and 20 Republicans are breaking from their own ranks (forget about the democrats) who can’t even get their own consensus together before even thinking about reaching across the aisle. I swear I saw a fucking twinkle in McConnell’s eye when he related this tonight to Judy Woodruff. That evil shit has no problem whatsoever with this wrench in the gears. To think that some Republicans are actually for no package, at all, is reprehensible.
The Turtle blathered on multiple occasions about the 3-trillion debt that the Democrats would make happen, which was such a weak dodge to her questions about listening to people like Jay Powell - that the economy needs a boost with such a package the Democrats are proposing, or how the majority of economists are saying there’s no measurable evidence to the “$600 ‘dis-incentive’” horsehite.
She tried asking him about the enforcement of mask-wearing in congress, actually twice, and both times the weasel evaded with a “why bother when everyone seems to be doing it.” Yeah right.
Citeless, because I’m going by pvr’ed recording tonight, which that internet thing has still yet to post (as of this writing, anyway - it still has only yesterday’s clusterfuck covid package attempt).
Other McConnell bullshit I could go on about, but I’ve had enough of that light green puddle of calf’s diarrhea for an hour or two.

OK, that one made me laugh. I’ll cry later, but at least I got a laugh this morning.

Twitter responder: “In all fairness, bet he spotted a clock beyond the teleprompter. Carbon. Zero. Sweat. Clock. 2:30.”

The man is a waste of perfectly good carbon, but I’ll give him credit for one thing: he’s a true believer. It’s painfully clear that nearly all his GOP cohorts don’t buy the party line and are simply and cynically following the script.

Gohmert, on the other hand, drank the Kool-Aid long ago. He’s got the courage of his convictions. Still an absolutely terrible person and legislator, but a nice change of pace compared to the convoluted mental gymnastics we see other Republicans go through to justify themselves. Nobody accuses Louis Gohmert of attempting mental gymnastics. Or even light mental stretching.

…Aaaaand end Scene II.

I say do it. Televise the look on his face on Jan 20 when President Pelosi orders him and Pence dragged from their respective residences and dumped in the street.

Here’s a look at that. (Put your link on a line by itself, for the visual to show up.)

Donnie denies any responsibility and blames Obama in 3… 2… 1…

The second quarter report on gross domestic product covers some of the economy’s worst weeks in living memory, when commercial activity ground to a halt, millions of Americans lost their jobs and the nation went into lockdown. Yet economists say the data should also serve as a cautionary tale for what’s at stake if the recovery slips away, especially as rising coronavirus cases in some states have forced businesses to close once again.

On Wednesday, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell warned that the most recent surge in infections has begun to weigh on the economy, while reemphasizing that a recovery can’t be sustained unless the virus is under control.

“We’re still digging out of a hole, a really deep hole,” said Ben Herzon, executive director of IHS Markit. “The second quarter figure will just tell us the size of the hole we’re digging out of, and it’s a big one.”

I guess he can always brag that he got the country into the “biggest hole in living memory.” That’s something, right?

Um, what’s the difference?

Two bigly words, and he doesn’t understand either one of them? Just spitballin’ here.

The difference?

Trump and his friends vote absentee. Those evil libruls vote mail-in.

Also: Judy Woodruff asked him why the Republican bill, supposedly for COVID relief, contains money for a new FBI building. He just smirked and played “whatabbout” with the Democratic version.

The man is an evil shit-stain and a disgrace to any noble and well-intended men and women who’ve held the office of Senator.

President Pelosi? How?

Trump’s term ends January 20, election or not. If the office of President and Vice President are vacated, the Speaker of the House shall be sworn in as President. It’s in the Constitution.

To which Trump, with Barr at his side, will say: “Make me!”
