Aside: I’ve thought about re-watching that show (which I adored during its first run), but I’d probably just cry through every episode.
I don’t watch Obama YouTube’s for that very reason. Sigh…Even Clinton and Bush at the John Lewis funeral had that effect on me. Obama’s eulogy there had me misty-eyed.
When I hear Obama talk these days, this is how I feel.

I read it, but I couldn’t watch it. There’s only so much pain an old lady can bear.

OK, there’s a lot going on here.
Merritt Corrigan is a White House liaison to the USAID agency, appointed by Individual 1. She is also apparently dating perennial loser and liar Jacob Wohl. She has been accused of making anti-gay comments in the past, but on Monday, she accused the USAID and Congressman Elliot Engel of soliciting prostitutes. She also said that USAID had given her until 3 PM to remove her accusations, or resign or be fired. She got fired.
She then announced that she would be appearing in front of Wohl’s buddy in lies and corruption Jack Burkman’s house, where she would have a press conference to prove her accusations.
On Tuesday afternoon, Corrigan deleted her tweets attacking USAID and stopped responding to messages from The Daily Beast. Wohl claimed in an interview Tuesday that a coterie of Trumpworld personalities had convinced Corrigan to backtrack on her claims. And Burkman claimed that Corrigan had “buyer’s remorse” after sending her tweets.
Corrigan then sent out a posting claiming she never made those accusations. “I will not be participating in any press conferences as claimed in my name, and will have nothing to do with individuals who forced me to hand over my devices so they could control me and the output in my name. Due to naivete and inexperience, I became involved with people who abused my trust, conned me, and claimed they were working in my interest. I became powerless in a situation, and I deeply regret not reaching out to people who knew better, or could help me.”
But there’s more. Corrigan claimed that USAID was set to hire Kyle Kashuv, the right’s favorite Parkland High School shooting victim, who believes in guns guns and more guns, at a salary of $50,000. This is the same Kyle Kashuv who had his application to Harvard rejected after his history of racist posts came to light. Daily Beast claims to have a copy of the USAID offer letter to Kashuv, but calls to USAID were hung up on.
Painful? That was the funnest part of the interrogation.

Trump supporters must get whiplash from trying to keep up with what’s right & wrong. Now, vote by mail is just peachy…in red states. In blue states it’s still totally corrupt, of course.
I don’t know why. There’s just something that strikes me as fishy about this:
I mean, I’m all for protecting people who have suffered from human trafficking, but I trust nothing where the primary sponsors are Bill Barr and Ivanka Trump.
Unfortunately, the Thales Academy he visited was in Apex; the one with the outbreak is in Wake Forest (which, for anyone wondering, is not the location of Wake Forest University – that’s in Winston-Salem).

I can’t read that article but the Wohl and Burkman show remains the absolute nadir of the Trumpist movement (which is saying a lot).
On one hand one wonders how many of those tweets weren’t made by her but rather by Wohl. On the other, anyone who find Jacob Wohl not only attractive but worth dating has already demonstrated phenomenally poor judgement so it may not matter.
