If you want to think of this as Trump Caves; Trump Folds Like a Cheap Lawn Chair; Trump Backtracks and Admits It Was His Policy All Along; Trump Made to Look Like a Weak Sniveling Coward – well, that’s just fine with me.

Actually I think of this as Trump Gaslights the Entire Nation. He creates an awful situation, blames the Democrats for it, the House & Senate start talking about doing something then Trump swoops in on a white horse to “solve” it himself because god parliaments are useless aren’t they ?
Classic strongman move.

So…

(1) … after he declared only Congress can fix this, Trump “fixed” it…

(2) … by directing the DOD to set space aside on army bases for families to be incarcerated together.

So, awesome. We’ve pulled back from “worse-than-Hitler” levels of evil (“BABY CONCENTRATION CAMPS”) to “merely Hitler” levels (just concentration camps).

They honestly believe that Trump had nothing to do with this and it has been happening for years and only now is coming out because the Democrats are playing politics. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if what happens is that Trump cancels his zero tolerance policy with an Executive Order and then it gets spun as he is finally the guy that was willing to put a stop to this injustice despite the Democrats doing their best to keep those people in confinement. …
