I think he’s telling the truth. I’ve always maintained that voters vote out of self-interest. Different voters view self-interest differently. Republicans emphasize ‘self’, whereas progressives believe that a rising tide lifts all boats. But it’s self-interest either way.

I laughed at that. Clearly this dude wasn’t alive in the days of Jimmy Carter double digit inflation, when a bank account of $100,000 could generate $10K to $12K income per year.
