Wait . . . I thought the Republicans couldn’t do anything about this because the Democrats wouldn’t let them. I thought the government had to separate children from their families because it’s the law. I thought this wasn’t a big deal in the first place.
I thought I lived in a country where the majority party wouldn’t literally separate families and keep children in camps (and where their constituents support such action), just because they wanted to accomplish some political goal.

I don’t get it. The article talks about smugglers, but it sounds like regular tourists wearing shoes purchased in the U.S. prior to returning to Canada. Isn’t this SOP for ANY tourist? I regularly buy expensive Italian shoes when in Italy. I do not bring them back to the U.S. in pristine condition, in the original packaging, and with the price tag on them. Nobody does this because then you might have to pay duty. If you wear them before bringing them back they look like you took them with you with your normal clothes. I live near the border and for years I have seen Canadians come to the U.S., stock up on clothes and other goods, tear the tags off, and then drive back home. It just boggles my mind that an everyday experience is turned into a talking-point for this administration.

Don’t see how this is gonna help him at all. 1) He’s exposed himself to be a fucking monster even to people who otherwise defended him for things like sexual assault. And 2) He’s exposed himself as weak to his deplorable supporters who actually applauded his inhumanity toward the brown migrants.
