How do they put together a group like that on short notice? Did the White House run a TV ad that said “If your kid was killed by an illegal alien, call 1-800-NOMEXICANS and we’d like to talk to you?” Do they have a Facebook page?

Actually, they did just that, as I noted on another thread – though they did have a bit of a problem filtering out the kind of reports they were looking for from the kind of reports they got:

I recall that way back at the beginning of the current national nightmare, they set up a special hotline for the purpose of facilitating this sort of propaganda. The American people responded in droves to the call to “phone this number with reports of crimes by aliens”. I myself reported an alien I saw participating in a brazen theft of laundry from a clothesline – unfortunately, it seems that the authorities have failed to track down the perpetrator despite his distinctive mechanical-rice-picker-damaged ears.

I don’t know offhand if the line is still in operation; if so, I need to file a few more reports…
