I think the news media should print an op-ed from (although not BY) the president and then right next to it print an editorial that calls out every single lie, and calls them LIES. I’ve objected all along to euphemisms like falsehood, mistake, misquote, misspoke, fabrication, deception, evasion, distortion, fiction, mendacity (although I DO love that word), inaccuracy, etc.
He LIES. And when he lies, the media should say, “THAT WAS A LIE.” It’s a simple, no frills word that doesn’t need any embellishment.
