It’s worse than just that. He did it to discredit the people who negotiated the agreement with Iran, so he could scuttle it and maybe start a war…
Aides to Trump hired an Israeli private intelligence agency (Black Cube) to orchestrate a “dirty ops” campaign against key individuals from the Obama administration who helped negotiate the Iran nuclear deal.
The idea was that people acting for Trump would discredit those who were pivotal in selling the deal, making it easier to pull out of it.
Trump’s team went to foreign agents to request espionage efforts be made against members of the administration they replaced so that, in their thinking, the Americans involved in the nuclear deal would be discredited.
Of course, Black Cube denies that Trump aides hired them to dig up dirt. It’s “just a coincidence” that Black Cube also ran dirty ops for Cambridge Analytica, whose co-founder is Trump’s then-chief STRATEGIST, Steve Bannon.
I just ran across this on Twitter (Twitter link) - essentially Melania’s anti-bullying campaign has put out some material, touted as, “a booklet by First Lady Melania Trump and the Federal Trade Commission.”
It’s the same booklet that the Obama administration put out in 2014, but with a forward purportedly written by the first lady added in and that stupid “Be Best” thing tacked on at the end.
I’d be happy if they’d just fix her eye makeup so it doesn’t look like she has narrow rectangular eyes. Or have her work “moose and squirrel” into every sentence.
I’m fully expecting Trump to withdraw from the Iran deal today, for some reasons that make sense to him, I’m sure.
When he does, I think it would be hilarious if Kim Jong-Un announces that the US has demonstrated that it can’t be trusted to abide by treaties and therefore the summit is off.
