The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Good point. Unlike most of us and trump’s voters, they are not actually invested in america, they are just invested in the best investments they can find. If that means short selling america, and then moving their assets elsewhere, that’s what they will do.

That they are destroying america with the support of people that claim to be so patriotic that they can’t stand to see a football player kneel for the anthem is an irony that is not lost on me, but certainly goes entirely over their heads.

They are fellow humans, and fellow americans, and I don’t like to see anyone suffer, even for actions they have taken themselves. There is also the fact that they will not be the only ones suffering, and that there are many who tried to choose a different path for the country who will also be harmed.

That these are not considerations that they take into account when they vote in ways that they believe will hurt others doesn’t affect my thoughts on the matter, as there has to be some rational adult in the conversation.

He is fat and lazy.

Kim already arrives in Singapore with increased political leverage, and all he had to do was watch the news and read Trump’s twitter feed to see it. Kim is setting himself up to be the more reasonable actor in any comparison between himself and Trump. If Kim wants to push aggressively for removing troops from South Korea, he just might be able to do it. Any hard-line response is going to be met with increased skepticism. Any breakdown in talks, and guess who’s going to be the less credible of the two?

They were warned what would or might happen. It was explained to them. I don’t want to see people suffer either. My comment was not meant to be punitive, despite that they voted with mean spirits. But sometimes an object lesson is the only way to get through to someone.

I don’t want to suffer either. Those of us who voted against Trump will need to weather the storm because in the long-term, we hope things will be better.

It is common for Conservative voters to think only of the short term. (And corporations too, when you see how they go after short-term profits.) They only want to cause harm to The Other. We can’t have any adults in the conversation until the toddlers are shuffled off into another room.

And if the people are really stupid, even an object lesson won’t get through.

Fear of Southeast Asia travel caused a Bone spur flare up?

Exactly - plus Trump doesn’t know any of them, so he won’t give a shit. I like Matt Yglesias’ idea of treating Trump like a rogue oligarch instead. Slap travel bans on members of the Trump Organization and shut down his golf courses.

I would gladly chip in on a row boat. Will even give them one oar.

Being face to face with Angela gives him a hard-on? No… that’s physically impossible.

I’m waiting for Kim to declare the US must denuclearize or no deal.

Mmm, Angela.

The whole administration now is going full on crazy mode against Justin Trudeau. Trade advisor Peter navarro says Trudeau has a special place in hell.

Clearly we’ll need a wall along our northern border too, to keep out those damned icebacks. Alaska will have to fend for itself since it’s not really a state anyway (unless more gold is discovered).

I prefer #12: it makes him look like the smallest person in the room, almost like he is trying to hide in the crowd. And Mr. WhiteMustache looks out of his depth.

Yes. But.

I have neighbors that I help a lot. Mostly with getting stuck in snow and such. It works out well. And they LEARN how to not get stuck so much. I’m happy to help them out and offer some gentle advice. A smile and thank you is all I expect in return.

The better they are prepared, the fewer times I have to fire up my plow truck and help out (this really sucks when you are getting ready for bed and we are ass deep in snowballs).

If, instead, they told me to fuck off after I did them a favor, well, I might not help them out next time. This is what I see from the Republican party and die hard trump supporters.

I don’t like to see others suffer either, but I only have two cheeks to get slapped.

Funny, after all the Republican complaints about Obama’s “Apology tour”, the next president will have to do one for real.

We’re going to have to amend the constitution to allow canadians to be president for that sort of apology.

Obama got a Nobel Prize for not being Bush. You have to wonder what they’ll give the next Democratic President.

Hopefully, it will not be head of the executive branch of a bankrupt and burnout nation.

Fox & Friends accidentally tells the truth about the Trump/Kim photo-op:

Fox & Friends host Abby Huntsman called the meeting between Trump and Kim a meeting between “two dictators”. Guest Anthony Scaramucci didn’t even bat an eye.
Can you imagine if ABC or NBC had said this? Fox would have exploded.

Trump and his minions have got a fucked up definition of winning. Destroying multiple economies to sooth the delicate ego of an overgrown schoolyard bully is not a win. Making it impossible to deal with his successor is not a win.

Destroying your own economy in order to sooth your own oversensitive ego (which you have done) is not a win, either, Donny-Boy.
