Trump’s actual advisers had this to say about the meeting in Singapore.
Yeah, Larry Kudlow said that flat out
There are people who work at the White House who piece together the documents Trump tears up, since they have to be preserved by federal law.
…but according to the linked article, both of the staffers who were piecing documents back together with Scotch tape were “abruptly fired in the spring without an explanation,” so maybe they’re simply not bothering to comply with the law now?
Under way for a couple weeks now - lawsuits-a-go-go against the GOP* Administration’s Bannon-concieved citizenship question on the census, which the Commerce dept. apparently issued 1000 fucking pages of documents in support of including the question.
NPR’s Hansi Lo Wang gave a really good rundown, with an initial overview, and likely consequences:
*No - not Grand Old Party…Grandson of Pimp
So now you’re a giant asshole on all three of my message boards. Congratulations?
…Trump is saying Trudeau defines what he, Trump, does? So, he’s subordinate to Trudeau?
I’m reasonably sure if he really was, Trudeau would long have done some extra-nice, extra-polite but extraordinarily firm version of sending Trump to the bad boys’ corner.
I *think *the idea is that Trump wanted to show Kim he can get *any *other countries to subjugate themselves to his bullying, even Canada, so little piss-ant North Korea had better watch out. Trudeau undermined that position and Trump resents it. But, if that was just a negotiating ploy of sorts, it would have been easy to arrange it with Trudeau behind the scenes.
But it takes getting inside Trump’s head to make any sense of it, and we all know what a scary place that is.
I picture something like the inside of a pumpkin.
Not sure where to post this. Figured this thread is as good as any.
So Spanky has been on a twitter rampage lately about how unfair all these trade deficits we have are to American farmers and factory workers. The only way out, according to Bonespurs, is to impose tariffs.
Economics is not my strong suit, and international economics even less so. So how will the shit-gibbon, his family, and the wealthy GOP members make money off tariffs?
Demand for tariffs is at an all-time high! Just watch as America outpaces the rest of the world in manufacturing new tariffs! We can win the 21st century tariff race! GO TEAM GO #MAGA!
These will be the best tariffs.
Bigly. Yuge.
I imagine the tariffs are meant to pump up the blue collar voters who believe higher tariffs on imports will mean more manufacturing jobs here. Also, Trump simply can’t fathom a win-win situation. If other countries are happy with something, it must mean we “lost,” therefore pissing the other countries off means we have “won.” I don’t think there’s a direct way for him to profit off of tariffs; on the other hand, if anyone could figure out how to do it, it would be an organized crime goon like Trump.
The very idea that ‘us buying more of their stuff than they but of ours’ is unfair is stupid to begin with.
Tariffs and pardons are the only two things in the presidential tool set that he has figured out how to use.

It’s not every day that Canada gets this kind of international attention.
Thanks Trump!
I remember the good old days when all Trump knew how to use was the TV remote and the White House Twitter account.
I understand Trudeau’s approvals have been down lately. Did he just fix that problem?
