All services have helicopters. She flew a Pave Hawk.
Regardless of what you think of the travel ban policy (I haven’t studied it in detail but it’s certainly one of the last on a long list of Trump policies I’d complain about), it would have been wrong, and disturbing, for the SCOTUS to block it based on Trump campaign statements if it was not prima facie unconstitutional in terms of how it was actually constructed. My understanding is that the lower courts were going with a “well, you may have belatedly constructed it to pass legal scrutiny, but we know what you were REALLy trying to do” and I just don’t think the courts should operate that way.
I was optimistic that the number of “Clothahump Republicans” on the board would decline after the forced exit of Clothahump, but it appears to have remained steady.
She kind of rattled this line off quickly in passing, leading to me doing a doubletake:
Sorry, you did what the who now?
The video showed footage of OH-58 Kiowas, which are used by the Army. According to the Wikipedia article on the type, ‘Their presence has also been anecdotally credited with saving lives, having been used to rescue wounded despite their small size.’ It’s possible she sat in the door like this guy and returned fire. Or it’s possible she stood on a skid and strapped herself to a pylon.
I also had a slightly surprised reaction to that line; I can’t fault her for returning fire even when injured but strapping herself to the skids? And would medical personnel / other soldiers - who I would assume did the “strapping” leave a rifle with an injured person?
There appears to be a hive mind effect that is becoming deeply squicky.
I just saw a graphic of Time covers comparing pictures of Obama looking smart and relaxed to cartoons of Shitgibbon depicting insanity and immigrant-child-abuse. The person observed that Time has gone from being a good magazine to a rag.
I responded, “When you have a huge mess to deal with, rags come in handy.”
Also CNN Monday morning.
Emin Agalarov, the Russian pop star whose mega-millionaire father has multiple shady ties to Trump and Trump companies, has a new video out including doubles of Trump, Ivanka, Stormy Daniels, Hillary Clinton, and Mark Zuckerberg all passing around secret documents, drinking together, playing poker, and Agalarov and Trump cavorting with bikini models in a hotel room.
For some reason, it isn’t listed in the YouTube indexes. You have to know the address to find it.

That is some grade-A trolling right there.
This reads like he thinks he can make a Harley-Davidson tax, special, just for them.

Just wait until he learns what a bill of attainder is. And then again when he finds out they aren’t allowed.
Trump cited earlier decisions Harley made to open a new plant in Thailand and close a plant in Missouri. Trump incorrectly said Harley was moving production to Asia from the United States, when in fact the expansion in Thailand was unrelated to the closing in Missouri.
:snip:
Harley decided to build the new Thailand factory to supply markets in Southeast Asia when it was clear that the U.S. would abandon the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the free-trade agreement Trump withdrew from in January 2017
This is all on you and your policies, DJT.
It’s almost as though Trump’s comments about doing away with judges and courts along the border is his way of saying "Fuck the law, the Constitution, and the Courts, immigration is no longer a legal problem but a military problem. They’re “invaders.” If that’s the view, that illegal border crossers are not merely committing a misdemeanor, but are in fact invading hordes, then God only knows what he’s planning on sanctioning the military to do to people who try to enter the U.S. illegally. But do not ignore the rhetoric. And do not ignore what precedent this potentially establishes, and not just for illegal entrants, but for all citizens.
Compare Trump’s comments here, with earlier anti-court remarks he has made. Compare them to The Right and their constant never ending, years old whining about activist judges and activist courts.
This is nothing new, and it is not limited just to this one narrow issue of asylum seekers (seeking asylum IS legal) and family destruction and deportation of naturalized citizens - and now even people born here.
It is the same old authoritarian mindset of “the judges and courts better do want WE want - fuck the law”.
These are the same people who would have sent Jews BACK to Nazi Germany during the 1930s.
Trump is killing it tonight. Attacking that one brain cell, low IQ loser, Maxine waters right now.
I like her. She is a fighter. AND she knows how to tell it like it is. I thought “You Guys” (the Right) liked “telling it like it is”.
Problem?
This is how we need to take on bigoted, idiotic, corrupt, so called legislators and so called “presidents”. She will not yield one second and will not be talked over or down. Good for her.
We have too many spineless pukes who won’t speak up.

Forced exit??? When did that happen?
Also CNN Monday morning.
She is amazing. I also like her way of making a point and then answering the question.
Forced exit??? When did that happen?
Good.
