He’s not talking about his head hairs.
That’s the beauty of it. It’s as obvious as Putin saying he has to visit his dead grandmother.
Ex-White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s new book The Briefing: Politics, the Press, and the President is out. He’s taking a lot of flak for it already, but probably more for his multiple praisings of Trump, including this bizarre metaphor – Trump is “a unicorn, riding a unicorn over a rainbow.”
…which leads to mental images resembling unicorn sex. Or at least this:
I love the part where he refers to the Steele Dossier as the “Michael Steele Dossier.” Michael Steele is the former Chair of the RNC. Christopher Steele is the British spook.
so - thats the quality of Sean Spicer and the trump admin we needed to know.
at least he didn’t call it the ‘Remington Steele dossier’
#bestpeople
That may be the dumbest sentence ever. Was his book ghost-written by a 12 year old girl?
AP reports that Ivanka Trump is closing down her fashion brand. I’m not seeing any details yet as to why. I thought she was still making money at it, but I guess not.

He who? where?
Now Trump, the guy who recently tweeted that Russian election interference in 2016 was a “hoax,” is alerting America that Russia may now interfere with future elections…to help Democrats. Because he’s so tough on Russia.
In Ex-White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s new book The Briefing: Politics, the Press, and the President , cited in the post immediately before.
Assuming the trumpkins gobbles that up, we can at least hope they get whiplash. Didn’t a large number of them just going through the exercise of deciding Russian interference was fine?
When I scrolled down on that page, I saw this story about how Trump is making America Great (as in broke) Again for farmers:
It starts with “The federal government will dole out up to $12 billion”. Dole, huh? Interesting choice of word there. Farmers used to be able to sell their products on the open market and now they are on welfare. 12 billion dollar welfare.
Apparently the assistance will come in three forms:
Direct assistance, otherwise known as welfare
A food purchase program for surpluses, something goddamn communists are known for
A trade promotion program, which sounds absurd because they were trading just fine before these tariffs came along.
But tariffs are great, right?
High tariffs…
Yes, of Course the GOP is abandoning laissez-faire capitalism in favor of billions in subsidies. Takers not makers, isn’t that how it goes?
The conspiratorial part of my brain says one of the goals here is to run farmers off their land so billionaires can buy it, cheap. Just nobody suggest Trump voters are suckers, heavens, no. And anyway, the opposition are SOCIALISTS!!
Doesn’t it defeat the whole purpose of the tariffs if you do this?
But of course, everything Trump does is purely about his image for his base, and his simple-minded supporters won’t be able to understand this.
To paraphrase my cousin: He’s sticking it to the [Chinese] while still taking care of the american farmer. #MAGA
Right - he’s already working on
a) excuses
b) escape plan
c) destroying what little confidence is left in the system
d) deligitimizing the coming elections
I also liked his other tactic - -
This sounds about right. Hard to argue against that, actually.
$12B in subsidies is just money going to line the pockets of Big Agra. The “family farmer” is going to get jack-shit.
