Sadly, sadly I knew this, and I didn’t want to be smug against the US per se. But Trump is such a unique phenomenon and so diametrical against the principles of the USA as I have known them, and he’s not a cunning or even scheming wannabe dictator, no, he’s an idiot with the mind of a toddler, but very effective in sowing confusion and mayhem everywhere and most inexplicable of all, still a majority of loyal party fellows who have been much longer in politics than him and must have still left a lick of sense or at least a single brain cell are allowing this disaster.
