The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

And when our current CiC gets us into another war, the explanation will be similar in execution, if not in scale.

I could believe this to be mere ignorance IF we hadn’t been through the whole Cosby thing like a year ago. At this point it’s deliberate ignorance. And partisan fuckery, but that goes without saying.

Nicely done.

I can’t help but think that there are thousands upon thousands of women out there who have been sexually assaulted, but for many reasons didn’t go to authorities, who have now had this traumatic experience deligitimized and questioned by the fucking president of the United States. Even conservative women, Republican women who themselves voted for Trump.

I also can’t help but think they’ll remember this come Election Day.

Well, if you remember “pitiful helpless giant”…

I think the name calling is a little counter productive. I suggest everyone stress that we’re talking about the leader of the GOP. That, ladies and gentlemen, is where the buck stops with these people. Nothing more needs to be said.

Of course, when we’re all in the back seat of the political version of that scene in Thelma and Louise where the car goes over the cliff, only now there is a disgusting orange guy behind the wheel, I can understand some cursing.

What does CFSG stand for?

Sure, they’ll remember. But you have to balance it against the Democrats’ vision of a totalitarian, Stalinist socialism and its associated ring of sex trafficking pizza parlors. In a country of mandatory homosexual veganism. These choices are all relative, you see.

I’m not talking about nutjobs. There are plenty of normal people who, believe it or not, voted for Trump or sat out in 2016, but regret that now. And I imagine there are women in that bunch who have been assaulted in the past, who just today had President Trump question the legitimacy of that assault, simply because they didn’t follow a specific path afterward.

If the Emoluments Clause had been enforced, they wouldn’t even have to do this now.

I suspect you are grossly underestimating the scope of unreported sexual assault on women. Probably by several orders of magnitude.

Writing out “Cheeto-Faced ShitGibbon” takes too long.

I agree. Just between the women in my office and myself, all of us have experienced various degrees of sexual assault and not a single one of us reported it to the authorities. There are just as many reasons as to why this is but the fact remains many many more go unreported than reported.

According to this website, the statistics show that as many as 2 out of 3 rapes go unreported. And that’s rape, not sexual assaults in general.

Has nobody mentioned that, at the request of Sean Hannity ( :smack: ) and despite the urgings of intelligence officials, President Trump will exercise his power to declassify FBI documents that will jeopardize U.S. intelligence assets? In a reality-based universe this would be a big news story, and would monopolize our GD forum. Instead, I guess it’s just “Ho hum, another Trump day;” and deserves nothing more than a brief mention in this Pit thread.

One would hope that Trump would have good reason and understand what assets would be compromised but when asked what was in the documents he answered “I have not reviewed them.”

According to recent updates, the back-pedalling bicycle is ridden.

Trump backs off declassification demand of Russia documents, texts

Well I hope you are right. I keep seeing this line though (after Charleston… after Puerto Rico…), and Trump’s support with his base never seems to change.

You guys have a way with words

We don’t have a Cheeto-Faced Shit Gibbon smilie?

It’s originally from Scottish Twitter, back when Trump made his first visit to his Scottish golf course after the election. The Scots know how to use the English language, even if they can’t actually speak it worth a damn.

What …?

Did you miss the whole “Grab 'em by the pussy” thing?

They’ve already voted for a man who bragged about sexually assaulting women himself, do you really think this is going to make a difference?

How many in his base have been affected by direct racism? There are women in his base who have been assaulted but not reported. I suspect his words today are more offensive to them than passive aggressive racism is.

Yes.

I hope you’re right but I have little faith this is the case. We were shown multiple warning of just how bad this would be, yet here we are.

Since when does he listen to any foreign ally (that is not Russia) about anything? My guess is some trusted person in his inner circle pointed out to him that the release would be a bad idea.
