Yeah, I neglected to mention that.
Waves from shit-hole country
(with my three legit citizenships in hand)
Remember how the Republicans screamed about Obama abusing his Executive Order authority? Of course, it’s OK if a Republican does it. (Not that Trump would get very far with this one…)
I can hardly wait to hear what he hasn’t to say at his Pittsburgh rally today…
Too easy. She’ll deny he ever said that.
Her squirm muscles have been surgically removed.
The deplorables voted for him.
No, not all who voted for Donny Two-scoops are deplorable but there are enough of them to make a difference.
Plus the large majority who swallowed his snake oil, plus a handful of plutarchs who would vote R no matter was served up because they know they’ll benefit.
I wanted to believe this, but it is getting harder daily. And any who vote for anyone Shit-Gibbon supports in the mid-terms qualifies, at best, as deplorable.
Hey, does anyone remember the specifics of Bricker’s family history, because I don’t. Any chance that going further down this road could wind up with him getting kicked out of the country?
I’ve seen multiple interviews with Trump supporting children of illegal immigrants hand wave around their own boundless hypocrisy.
Don’t forget that Trump’s father was the son of immigrants and his mother was an immigrant. He would have to resign…
and this would apply to all of his kids except Tiffany…
Might be worth it
I love the “No Lives Matter” hoodie.
And, well, Melania, is what? A gold digger that married trump for money and citizenship. Though, I would imagine, she would be quite happy to go ‘home’ right now. Provided she can drain trump of half of his money. Whatever that amount may be.
She’s been holding on until the ink in the bank statements is black.
Excellent!
Good job!
Cruz was born in Canada, so his US citizenship derives from one parent (jus sanguinis). The entertaining part about his ancestry is that his father got political asylum after his student visa had expired. Haley was born in the United States (thus citizenship jus soli) to parents, both of whom (presumably) had immigrated.
What the bigots want is for children of minorities to not be granted citizenship. (No doubt they’d be quite happy to yank the citizenship of all minorities all the way back to 1868.) They pretend that the wording of the Fourteenth Amendment applies to the parent; however, it is quite clear that the amendment applies to the “person born” (the child). Here is the beginning of the thing (bolding mine):
Here’s yet another entertaining bit. Trump and his minions are agitated to support him in this nonsensical negating of the constitution by executive order, yet not so long ago, they were apoplectic about an unsubstantiated accusation against President Obama, saying Obama wanted to change the constitution so he could be president longer than eight years. Oh, yes; and didn’t Trump explicitly say he’d like to be prez for life?
Fucking hypocritical morons.
Let’s put something to rest right now. The morons are also freaking out about “anchor babies”. It’s been years, nay, decades since the immigration law was changed to make it no longer possible for a minor (i.e., the child born to someone, even an undocumented migrant) to sponsor anyone into the country. IIRC, one must be 21 years old to be a sponsor. That’s some mighty fine long-term planning if the migrant plans on having an “anchor baby” so the migrant can be sponsored into the country and, as the bigots tout, “milk the welfare system”. That’s utter nonsense from the bigots. First off, the migrants are just a tad more concerned with simply living. Next, undocumented immigrants are not eligible for welfare. The child, of course, is eligible for certain assistance, what with the child being a citizen of the United States. But, hey, fuck the kid, too, right? I mean, the kid’s not “one of us”. And that’s what Trump wants to prevent: a minority being a citizen. And his minions are supporting this bullshit.
Fucking hypocritical ignorant morons.
The rhetoric on the caravans, although much more harsh, reminds me of Ronald Ray-Gun’s old warning that the Nicaraguan army was only two or three days’ drive from the southern border.
Good post. And IOWRDI.*
*It’s Okay When Republicans Do It.
Just to add to that, this especially bigoted and repulsive quote from Orangekopf:
So, in Trumps’ pea brain, apparently, no one who obtains citizenship in this manner can ever be a net gain to our society. Nice.
But what about children of pre-existing citizens? I bet he isn’t very fond of “all of those benefits” for them, either.
Oh well, at least he’s right about one thing. AFAIK it’s true that there’s no other country in the world where, if one is born there, they become “essentially a citizen of the United States”.
Loren Jacobs, the “Messianic Jewish” (“Jews for Jesus”)rabbi who appeared with Mike Pence, was, it turns out, not even accepted as a rabbi by the Messianic Jews:
It’s not surprisuing that Jewish organizations don’t recognize him as a rabbi:
…but it’s REALLY surprising that even his own organization doesn’t accept him. Who proposed this guy as a representative of the faith to Pence?
