Climate is a lot more than temperature. Mediterranean climates are indeed not that much hotter than Atlantic/Oceanic ones (1), and may get higher annual rainfalls (2), but in mediterranean climates it falls as heavy rainshowers, hail storms, or huge damnfuckingstopthecarnow storms; in atlantic climates it tends to be along the lines of “do I bother open the umbrella?.. nah…”

I wonder what definitions they were using. San Francisco is further south and it’s Atlantic/Continental; the vegetation looks so much like Pamplona’s I was having double vision. I guess to someone who thinks Pamplona, Vigo, Jaca, Madrid or Burgos have Mediterranean climates on account of being on a Mediterranean country, Portland (OR) would be Mediterranean. As would Aspen.

I don’t believe Trump would fire a nuclear weapon at a country that could strike back at him. Everything is about self interest with him. But I do think he would nuke Blue states. If he can kill enough Democrats, he can lock in a 2020 victory. For example, if he nukes California, he can say the Democrats left him no choice, he had to destroy sanctuary cities filled with illegal invader rapists for the overall safety of the country.

Trump is many things, but he’s not subtle like Tricky Dick. I doubt it ever occurs to him to resort to distraction. When Chris Wallace asked him about the Blue Wave, Trump kept saying he won because of the Senate. He never acknowledged the House. His method of dealing with it is to pretend it never happened. Fake news.
Everything he says and does is straight off the top of his implanted head with no foresight or planning. Chaos has no hidden layers.
