Because to stay in power, he HAS to have a massive pile of money to hand out to all those who might be able to keep him in power. Whether the handouts will carry any actual obligation to do something toward building a wall, is highly doubtful. There will be umpteen “delays” that are “caused by Democrats.” Somehow the big beautiful Wall is always on the verge of being finished, but We Can’t Show You Any Footage of it because that would Give Away Security Secrets, etc.
Give in to this would-be tin-pot dictator, and his demands will only escalate.
