It’s Wall except for when it’s a Steel Slat Barrier, and it needs to be built, but it’s also already mostly built, and we need it because there are Caravans coming except for when they aren’t because Wall is already there.

This is a big right-wing talking point, and we can expect it to be hit hard in the next three weeks as the GOP desperately tries to sell the “crisis at the border” story. ‘Women and children are in peril and only a wall can save them; human trafficking is happening at epic levels,’ etc.

For example, the Alabama Attorney General:

“As Alabama’s Attorney General, I am deeply troubled by the steady stream of dangerous illegal drugs entering my state and the impact it has on our citizens and law enforcement. As much as I hate to do this, I have to give Trump credit for the donation. My mother developed into an alcoholic during the last few years of her life. So, begrudgingly, I applaud this move.

I can’t quibble with the action as reported, but… I also can’t forget that Trump has a terrible record of lying about charible donations, and about everything else. Hower, for the moment, I’ll move Donnie from 90% amoral traitor to 89.95% amoral traitor.

Build a mile section near El Paso, Tucson, or some other location near an airport capable of taking Air Force One so he won’t aggravate his bonespurs. 700 feet high so he can dig out that GoT poster again and with TRUMP on it in big letters. You could hire a couple hundred brown-skinned actors to mill around the other side, looking up plaintively and shaking their impotent fists.

Trump comes and sees it, then returns to Mar a Lago content that his legacy is assured. It’s left up even after he out of the White House, one way or another, "as a warning to the next ten generations that some [del]favors[/del] Presidents come with too high a price.
