Yeah. I go on binges of different types. And I’m pretty much like you. So far, the politics has been minimal. (unfortunately leaning a little pro-Trump I think). Anyway, about half way through the first book, and maybe a chapter on politics. Mostly it’s about the division of the country, and some secret group that is setting up a bunch of terrorist attaches (don’t know their affiliation yet).
He has lousy aim. Sometimes misses the target by thousands of miles. No wonder we didn’t make the connection.
Nitpick: the bridge over Lake Havasu called London Bridge is an entirely new structure. Only the facing stones were taken from the bridge in London.
In all honesty, I’m a little confused about the message. If it’s from the god that Pat Robertson doesn’t follow (but claims to), it’s because we don’t hate the gays enough. If it’s from the god that I don’t follow, it’s because we’re dragging our feet on equality. Now that I think about it, maybe Trump was sent by god - both of them “communicate” loudly, destructively, and don’t make any fucking sense.
There’s that, and also the idea of a vote of confidence — “no matter what Prurient Leader may say, I believe in you and have your back.” If CFSG were to get a complete toady in (and wouldn’t he just love to have Javanka as DNI or heading the CIA), the affected agency/agencies could see the sort of mass exodus that hit the State Department a while back. To the detriment of us all.

The point of the article I posted in #30190 was that the Dow broke 25000 last January and Trump was bragging about it. The Dow is basically where it was a year ago.
