And he’s the same color.
But not koi about anything.
Not to carp, but enough with the fish jokes!

Amusingly, even though the Dow was down on the day, the broader market was higher. All dozen or so of my mutual funds were up, which includes all different capitalization sizes and international and real estate. It’s only because the Dow is a very small cross-section of industrial stocks, a few of which posted poor earnings reports that led to a slide in their stock price, that the narrow index was down. The Dow is also price-weighted, not market-cap weighted, so if somehow a $10,000 stock entered the Dow, nearly 1/3 of the entire index’s movement would be due to that stock, even if it only had 1,000 shares outstanding, while a $10 stock with 5 billion shares outstanding would be barely given any weight. But the Dow has history and that’s what people know. Plus the numbers are bigger!
Long may he snark.
One more bit of hijack:
And to add to what you said about The President’s Analyst: yes, it’s very 1960s, but I’d say that having lived through that era isn’t necessary—except maybe for understanding the plot point about The Phone Company.
It’s not quite as dark as Network, but those who liked Network will like this. So will Beatles fans, fans of hippies, spy stories, better US-Soviet relations, and monologues by Godfrey Cambridge.
It’s caviar for those who love satire, as well as those who consider paranoia about our surveillance culture to be the only sensible position.
Well wouldn’t this just make everything awesome :dubious:: President Donald Trump has met with Herman Cain about an opening on the Federal Reserve’s board of governors.
For those who can stomach it, here’s a piece on thump’s interview with the New York Times. No surprises, just the usual Donnie being Donnie. He loves being president, but financially, the job is a “loser.” Yeah, that’s what it’s all about. :dubious:
Here are some transcripted excerpts for the strong ones among us.
Using the data readily available at Yahoo I discover that since the Inauguration there have been 296 days when DJIA rose open-to-open; the average gain on those days was 120.1 points. There have also been 214 down days, residuals from the Obama Nightmare, when the DJIA declined an average of 142 points each day. Simple arithmetic proves that the Dow would now be sitting pretty at 60,513 points without the ghosts of Hillary and Hussein casting dark shadows on the stock market.
OK, I’m totally confused.
After basically kissing Putin’s ass for his entire term, now the Presidential Pustule decides to blow up the INF treaty? What’s really going on here?
Maybe Putin wants out of the treaty but doesn’t want to take the heat for it. So, he asks his buddy.
Putin wants out of the treaty, so Cheeto-Baby is blowing it up for him.
If he pulls out, then Putin can pull out scot-free. He’s still being Putin’s patsy.
Exceptional minds engage in parallel thought processes.
Yep, still Putin’s bitch. After we pull out, Vlad can build his doomsday device without any pesky treaty standing in his way.
I’m still wishing that Fred Trump had pulled out.
No Patsy. No Patsy. You’re the patsy!
Some of my favorite lines:
“So there’s been more of a burden on me than other presidents.”
“We had all of our secretaries, many of our secretaries here, probably half of them.”
“What’s more important than The New York Times? Ok, nothing, nothing.”
“I think it was sent to almost like a public address for Moscow.”
I did have to read what I said. What did I say? I don’t know. What did I say?"
You mean Frederick Trumpf, right?
3½ years ago in Vanity Fair:
That April, Ivana began to tell her friends that she was worried about Donald’s state of mind. She had been completely humiliated by Donald through his public association with Marla Maples.
“How can you say you love us? You don’t love us! You don’t even love yourself. You just love your money,” twelve-year-old Donald junior told his father, according to friends of Ivana’s.
“What kind of son have I created?” Trump’s mother, Mary, is said to have asked Ivana.
