Preying, more like.
Well, it appears that congressional negotiators have reached an agreement to avoid a government shutdown.
Trump of course does not like this, and says that if he refuses to sign off on this deal agreed to by Congress, then it is the Democrat’s fault.
Is there anyone outside of the Maga-capped mouth breathers who thinks this makes one iota of sense? Both parties in Congress agrees on a deal, and Trump tries to blame one party if he himself refuses to sign?
Any Republican supporter here care to defend this?
Hey - he was willing to compromise - he would sign the bill IF the democrats gave him what he wanted - but if they don’t, its their fault.
He also says he is adding things to the bill. :smack:
At Individual 1’s rally last night, there was a woman standing behind him who was wearing a Green Bay Packers shirt (what she was doing in Texas, I have no idea). She applauded wildly when he criticized Socialism.
The Packers are publicly owned.
Doesn’t he mean Stephen Miller is adding things to the bill?
Individual 1 now says he wants his military parade on the 4th of July. I can just imagine hundreds of thousands of people showing up to watch a parade in Washington, DC in the middle of July, all passing out from heatstroke.
Individual 1’s campaign staff is trying to silence ex-aide Cliff Sims for publishing a book despite his non-disclosure agreement. Sims has in turn turned around and is suing them.
So, AT&T, IBM, and Microsoft (also publicly owned) are also examples of socialism? Or did you think the team was owned by the city of Green Bay?
Well, by the citizens of Green Bay… some of whom I know. They’re very proud of grandpa’s shares that’ve been handed down, along with his season tickets.

ETA: Ninja’d by a Typo. Though we did quote different paragraphs…
There are Cheeseheads everywhere in Texas. There’s at least one, if not several, Cheesehead bars in each major city in Texas where the faithful go to root for the Packers.
Lots of Steelers fans, too, for that matter.
Vastly outnumbered by Cowboys fans and, near Houston, Texans fans, but a definite presence, nonetheless.
Someone should erect a banner at his next rally that says, “Wall’s done! Yay!” and see who falls for it. Who knows? Maybe that’ll just be the end of the whole stupid thing.
Bets on him being the first one?
I believe there’s an old “Mission Accomplished!” banner rolled up someplace, possibly behind the White House Christmas decorations in the basement.
The idea got shot down last time when the price tag was unveiled. Maybe the great Artist of the Deal can get Mexico to pay this time…
I’m feeling the need for a meme:
Trump: “We’re building the wall anyway.”
Pelosi : “Bollards!”
Only if Miller can convince the committees in either house (or the whole chamber once the bills are out of committee) to amend. And if any changes made it through conference. Trump is so ignorant of basic civics I wouldn’t be surprised if he thinks the executive can change a bill or that he can line-item veto.
I want to see Trump in that flight suit! (Oh wait: no I don’t.)
Ha, good point. Although it pains me as a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan to be reminded that the Packers have such a cool ownership setup. I wish all NFL teams were like this!
Yeah, I was gonna say. We don’t want him working harder!
Bush was a big fan of signing statements that would significantly alter a bill.
