My sister is a nicer person than I am. She brought this up in her FB feed, and speculated that the original idea of defunding Special Olympics was thrust upon her, and that after she spent three days defending it, the America-hating fuckstick* saw that it wasn’t playing well with his base, so he threw her under the bus.
*not the term she uses. In fact, she has expressed a belief that the America-hating fuckstick actually doesn’t hate America, and that he wants to do right by the nation. She DOES concede that he is entirely ill-equipped to do so, and is doing WRONG by the nation daily. But as I said, she’s a nicer person than I am.
It could be either (or both) and/or it could be Mr. Melania Trump’s ego that eschereal was referring to.
