The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Not too sure where to put this, don’t want to bump a nearly-dead thread or something, but today, the world rejoices as the Judge in Roger Stone’s case imposed a complete Social Media ban on the asshole.

OTOH, since many don’t consider the SDMB to be social media, we may get a new member soon…

How can that possibly be legal?

He repeatedly violated a court mandated gag order. If there’s no consequences for that, then gag orders have no weight.

The initial order was that he was not to publicly comment on his case, after he posted a picture of the judge with crosshairs over the judge’s face on Instagram or something. The order has slowly been getting stricter every time Stone violates it. Actually the crosshair thing might have been after the initial order; I haven’t been paying close attention. Sooner or later he’s going to get his ass thrown in jail for the duration.

While I don’t agree with gag orders per se, I can at least understand why he would be prevented from discussing the case.

But this new one is no posting on any topic at all to those sites. I’d rather he be arrested for contempt of court or something similar (IANAL).

Maybe he should have thought about that before violating his gag order repeatedly. Also its not smart to piss off the judge on your case by posting a picture of his face with crosshairs. He’s lucky that isn’t being prosecuted as a threat against a judge.

This shit seriously needs to go away.

Kellyanne Con[del]way[/del]man made a comment about “the Squad” (four noted female congressional reps) representing “a dark underbelly of this country.”

Yeah, pretty lame and insipid, really. Then,

… a reporter … asked (her) which countries President Donald Trump was referring to when he suggested (the women) should “go back” to where they came from.

and her response to him was “What’s your ethnicity?

Why do we put up with this shit?

Stuff it back into the asshole it came from. Maybe with a handful of thumbtacks, for emphasis.

Whereas her husband, George Conway, posted an opinion article where he starts off with an anecdote in which his mother, “who had come to this country from the Philippines decades before,” was told by a woman to “Go back to your country.”

George Conway: Trump is a racist president

He goes on to say:

The rest of his column goes into more detail regarding his opinion of Trump (and the Republican party leadership).

I’m mystified how a man who can write this can stay married to a person like Kellyanne Conway.

Thinking with the wrong head.

Especially when she’s got the face that has stopped a thousand boners.

I’m surprised it took so long for Mr. C to come to that conclusion. Among those that can see, the evidence cannot be denied. For those that chose not to see, they of course will miss it. Now to support this scumbag, you either have to BE a racist piece of shit or else being a racist scumbag is not a dealbreaker for you.

Maybe the way Michelle Bachman’s husband does it?

They have kids, they are both so swampy they probably see it as just her job, or leave the job outside the home, and you’ll note he had to do the republican shuffle of getting in a dig at Trump’s targets:

By staring into her gaping, unblinking eyes until he begins to hallucinate?

Isn’t that how a snake mesmerizes their prey?

Federal judge issues an injunction preventing the citizenship question from appearing on the census in any form.

Too many racists, and too many people ambivalent to racism, and too many people who just don’t give a fuck.

Unfortunately, it is hurting a lot of people and is dragging the USA down.

Thanks for this.

IMO, the best response to “this shit” is to sweep it off the table and go into full Just Asking Questions mode on the reasons for the shit-dumping – variations on the theme “If this is the distraction, just how many Epstein-brand shoes are lined up to drop on Trumpoltroon’s pointy little head?”

The Fisher House Foundation? Back when I had a career I did the automation and A/V for it. It was still a residence back then but everything I did would transition well into a museum.
