“No, you the puppet, YOU THE PUPPET!”
“No, you the racist, YOU THE RACIST”
It really is like dealing with a toddler.

I’m pretty sure that what actually cost votes were all the people condemning her for it. The Democrats have earned a reputation as being weak and willing to sell out their supporters in order to pander to right wingers; every time some Democrat condemned Hillary’s “deplorable” comment, they were announcing to their own voters that as soon as they could they’d sell those voters out to pander to the bigots.
Once a week, I teach three- and four-year olds. They are far better behaved than Tan the Conman.
His own base.
Trump is only looking out for himself. And at a far step behind, other rich people like him. He doesn’t give a damn for the ordinary white people who vote for him.
If Trump could get rid of all of the brown people in America, he’d no longer need to pretend he likes working class white people. He’d happily round them up and put them in camps.
I’ll just note that you all are taking the bait.
Trump is going all in on cages and racism because Epstein is in the news. If you allow yourselves to be distracted by political correctness, you’ve lost the best ammunition against the guy.
You should all just finish every political comment with anyone on the Internet by mentioning Epstein, John Casablancas, George Nader, and Tevfik Arif. Keep that up in every post until 2020 and the election is yours.
Throw in the occasional comment about Trump Foundation stealing from people who got their legs blown off and you’re golden. Or mention Kristopher Hansen. That’s another good one.
No, that makes no sense. He talks like that all the time, and nothing Trump says will affect what happens to Epstein.
I’m not going to be able to convince you through argument. I would ask you to take this on faith.
Don’t take the bait. Keep driving on Casablancas, Arif, and Nader.
…the reality.
This wasn’t “bait.” It isn’t a distraction. This is real. People are staying off the streets en masse in fear. You can bring up Epstein, John Casablancas, George Nader, and Tevfik Arif all you like: but that isn’t going to make the people that Trump & Co are targeting feel any safer. It won’t help them.
This is a white supremacist regime. The cruelity is the point. There is a clear and present danger. We need to be yelling it from the rooftops.
We can do many different things at the same time. Don’t be distracted by people like Sage Rat.
I disagree. Epstein is still very much in the news, as well as Trump’s racism. It is possible for us, and the news media, to keep track of two (or more!) outrages at the same time. Keep the fire on Trump, in all ways, at all times.
ETA: That was in response to Sage Rat - Banquet Bear snuck in ahead of me.
I consider faith irrational and destructive, so no.
LOL @ the people who call Trump’s twitsyntery a ‘distraction’. You can’t tweet away a major criminal investigation into sex crimes. Now he could have his personal attorney, er, Attorney General decline to prosecute, but he can’t just make the story go away.
Trump isn’t tweeting to distract; he’s tweeting to divide.
Yeah, no thanks. But I appreciate your concern.
What would be funny is to have a Democrat who is Native American – say, KS rep Sharice Davids – tell Trump he should go back to the country he came from.
Six more years is more of that than two.
I know this is the Pit, but is there a cite for trump foundation stealing money from disabled veterans? Not that I doubt it, but I couldn’t find anything specifically about it, maybe not using the right search words, and I want to have receipts if I bring this up IRL.
Billed as a campaign event, it was run under the foundation and is a significant part of the NYAG’s case against them.
More like he never sent the promised funds, IIRC.
Actually, he did.
Several months later.
After the Washington Post printed an article asking why the money never was paid out.
Prompting checks going out the very same day.
Several to highly questionable recipients.
And still managed to disperse only half of what he claimed to have raised. ![]()
On second thought, disregard the above. I can’t find a clear timeline and probably got it wrong.
